DCR Report:
1967 In the early morning hours of 13 May, the MCB-8 base camp at Rosemary Point, Chu Lai was attacked by a Viet Cong force using 57mm recoilless rifles, and 82mm mortars. Michael D. Estok BUR3 was killed in the attack which also wounded seven other Seabees from 8.

Michael is buried at 29 Palms Cemetery , 5350 Encelia Avenue, 29 Palms, San Bernardino County, CA.
