DCR Report:
…While NMCB-62 Detail Buford and USMC personnel were assisting in the MEDEVAC of ten U.S. marines involved in a mining incident, just prior to and at the same approximate location as the NMCB-62 incident, a USMC jeep detonated a mine resulting in one Seabee, Petty Officer Second Class Nelson M. Hyler, and two USMC were KIA.

A word in memory of BU2 Nelson M Hyler who lost his life on hill 55 on 07-03-10 may he rest in peace. Here is a list of the squad of Charlie Company Builders on Hill 55, Detail Buford. They were there from April to September 1970.
