NMCB-133s EO3 Everal, F. Avey was fatally injured in an equipment accident two miles south of Hue.

GROUND CASUALTY
EOH3 Everal F. Avey was a driver serving with A Company, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133 (NMCB-133), 3rd Naval Construction Brigade, U.S. Naval Forces, Vietnam. On May 26, 1968, EOH3 Avey was driving a tractor-trailer carrying logs or telephone poles. While traveling on a highway two miles south of Hue in Thua Thien Province, RVN, Avey came to a stop. Reportedly, the load was not properly lashed down and came forward into the tractor striking Avey. He was fatally injured in the incident. Equipment Operator (Hauling) Third Class Everal Floyd Avey Let us not forget Equipment Operator (Hauling) Third Class Everal Floyd Avey, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, EOH3 Avey served our country until May 26th, 1968 in Phu Bai, Thua Thien, South Vietnam. He was 25 years old and was married. Everal died when his vehicle crashed. His body was recovered. Everal was born on May 2nd, 1943 in Mountain View, Arkansas. He served our country for 6 years.
