Bracebridge Ponds birds

It was good birding today at the Bracebridge Ponds...in the rain. A Dunlin was on the sludge island in cell 3 along with several Semipalmated Plovers (one was taking a bath in a large puddle on the roadway). Four Killdeer chicks were with their parents, running around inside the black fence by the treatment plant. Many Warblers were singing, including Blackpoll, Tennessee, Wilson's, and even a Black-throated Blue. Lots of Swallows were flying low over the ponds while about thirty Chimney Swifts flew above the viewing stand at Kerr Park...nice to see such a large group. Two Sora and a Green Heron were by cell 1. A Bobolink was singing near the baseball field at Kerr Park.
