TO all Retirees,
On July 27, 2007 I expressed my opinion about a number of matters, one of which was how Atty. Loper's opinion that FSS 112.61 could prevent the payment of the 13th Check. I received a letter from Atty. Loper along with a packet of documents that support FSS 112.61. Atty. Loper asked that I put his letter and the attending documents on our web site for all to read as rebuttal. I called Atty. Loper and we talked about the issues. I told the Atty. that I would have his letter and the attending documents put on our web site for all to see. I also told him that he could post on our web site anytime he wanted to so long as he signed his name and email address. As you know, that is all that is required. We do not accept anonymous posts, regardless. To comply with Atty. Loper's request I have sent the documents to the Webmaster to post on our site. I found out that the Webmaster is going to be out of state for this week and would return the weekend of the 11th.. By next week, the letter from Atty. Loper will be posted for all to read. Our web site remains open to all who want to put their opinions on the board and sign their names to it. If what is written is worth writing then it must also be worth putting a name to it as well.
