The one question that I have about elections, concerns "out of towners".

Why are we not allowed to vote on the President/V.P.'s, for the Retiree's Board.

The only time we have been allowed to vote on anything, and I will humbly stand corrected...if incorrect, was on the DEC ACTION, when asked if we wished to carry it on to the Court of Appeals, or not.

Why is it, we pay our dues like everyone else, yet never are asked our opinions in the form of a vote for our leadership? That is the reason, come September '08, I will no longer be a member of the Retiree's Association. Apparently the leadership wants you present at the meetings to vote, and not by email or absentee ballot.

That is one of the questions that Jerry Feltman asked, and was not completely answered by the Article IV, Section 1, that I read. If I am wrong, then I need to be corrected. However, since 1996, no one has asked me to vote on much at all.
