During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Ah yes, the question of why Hope had decided to see what the female had wanted. Silence knew of that, and the female's words would only confirm it. Hope had seemed irritated by something, and Silence had not been able to tell what it was at first. He knew it had to do with her old pack, knew that it must have been someone who knew about her abilities that led this female here. Now it was all beginning to fall into place, and Silence did not know if he liked it.

Atra. So at least he now had a name for 'this female.' Not that he cared much, but at least it was a start. Then again, knowing her name implied she meant for him to recognize her at some later time again. Perhaps. A name to a face, a thing that only deepened the sense of foreboding. He did not even blink as she mentioned not knowing his own name. Mayan blue eyes stared at her as if urging her to get to the point. She did not know his name and she did not have to know it until he gave it to her. That would only be if he accepted the rest of the story.

He noticed her shift and felt as if he had scored a point. She was unsure, and that was good. Did she now wonder if he too had some sort of power, or did she wonder if Hope had more than just a healing ability? Did she even suspect if her white friend from her pack had the same? He would keep her guessing, though his own stance shifted a little as hers did. His now a little more relaxed, as if he didn't want to scare her off by being too menacing. Not that his stance did much, it was still his eyes that held the placid ice that did not drop.

And then she said the words that confirmed everything as previously mentioned. Waptumewi, a white wolf, and Hope. Questions. He could tell that she wasn't used to being so forward. It was in the way she glanced off, the faintly nervous aura emanating still from her. Silence found it almost irritating, and yet she wanted to know something badly enough to speak as if she wouldn't be sent away.

There was an image of him chasing the female away, snapping at her hindquarters and making sure she fled for good. Yet he could not bring it into reality and all because of one name. Waptumewi. If Silence ever saw that wolf again, he would tear a strip off his hind for stirring up this trouble.

A low growl rumbled deep in his throat and Silence bristled faintly. His gaze was at it's hardest, latched onto Atra as if to press her into the dirt by the look alone. "You will stir up something that is better left alone."
Let that scare some sense into her, and if not, then at least it should make her choose her questions carefully. It was painful to allow her entry into the territory yet the reasons to let her in outweighed those to chase her off. For one, his sister could speak with whom she chose to. If she did not want to answer the questions, then she did not have to. And for another, he knew there was some small debt owed to the white wolf named Waptumewi.

When he knew the female was not going to leave, he lifted his tail higher, straightening and pulling the all out dominant stance. "Welcome to Munashii Gekko." A silent warning still in his eyes. Tread carefully. You don't know what will bite you. Then he turned and picked up the kill, starting his way towards his sister and the pup. The number of wolves now doubled what it had known for a very long time.
