The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Terror striking a dead Heart
IP: 76.182.87.149

The wind rushed past her face, latching on to the sweat that was starting form on her coat, cooling her warm body. Her eyes had narrowed to slits, and she'd locked her jaw part open with her tongue hanging out. Her lungs felt raw and her heart pounded in her ears like her feet upon the ground. No end. She couldn't end this blissful moment, not now. In the shadows she was a ghost with no heart and to thoughts to trouble her. Maybe she should keep running until her heart gave out. What a blissful way to die. Nephthys considered it, mulled it over in her thoughtless mind for tens of minutes before finally agreeing. She would run until she couldn't run anymore.

Her head was starting to droop against her chest, her tongue hanging out. Her eyes were barely open, just enough she could see to keep running. Her limbs were starting to fail her and her lungs had closed, choking her. That was when she smelled something that she had not expected, something that stopped her in her tracks. She slid to a stop, stumbling and crashing to her knees. She lay there, hardly breathing, letting the scent drift into her nostrils. Eclipse. It was so shocking that she just about fell over right there. Something flickered in her dull, glazed over, mix matched eyes. Fire. It finally caught and blazed again with life. She lifted her head, panting heavily now, breathing in the scent that she had been looking for, though she had not been aware of it. She waited until her limbs stopped shaking before lifted herself onto her feet and taking off after the scent, following it. She stayed to the shadows, still not wanting to feel her broken heart or to let her thoughts run loose, not until she found him. She followed the scent halfway across Andere Seite before she stopped.

There, just ahead, she saw a body lying there. She frowned, confused. Eclipse was to noble to just lie in the path there, so undignified. She edged closer, the reality of it all closing in on her until she had to stop. She'd slipped out of the shadows and the agony of her broken heart and painful thoughts struck at her with such a force she trembled. She took one breath of the wolf before her and the name clicked in her head. Zanzibar. Her adopted pup. New pain laced through her, twisting like a knife. Her lips flashed over white teeth, though he wouldn't see them because his back was turned. She struggled with herself for minutes, her muscles twitching violently.

And the she sighed aloud, relaxing her knotted muscles and tense frame. "Zanzibar." She whispered, barely heard over the soft rustling of the wind. She walked over to him and laid down, curling up next to him. He was shaking with exhaustion and looked terrible. With a jolt, she realized she must look a lot like him. Just a few minutes ago she'd just about run herself to death. She licked his floppy ear and whined softly, looking into his mix matched orbs. His blue eyes looked a lot of Eclipse's, and again a knife struck at her. So she made herself dwell in his brown eye, full of warmth that soothed her.
