The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Terror striking a dead Heart
IP: 76.182.54.198

Nephthys heart still pounded in her chest with a force that kept the air from being able to fill her lungs fully. She was starting to feel dizzy with blood loss and the return of her depression and anger, heated still by the adrenaline in her blood. Her limbs still shivered and her head lowered with the effort of keeping her feet. She might have let her knees collapse so she could rest, but Zanzibar still rested under her. Her mix matched orbs watched the way the black male took control of the situation, her eyes sharp. The smell of blood lingered on him and she could tell that he'd killed the lynx. Good for him. But despite that small thought, Nephthys didn't feel much kindness towards him. One, because she didn't know him, and two, mainly, because of the suspicion bussing around her head.

Kimani continued to lick her wounds, which annoyed Nephthys, but she put up with it, only because she was tired and didn't feel much like fighting. Every time her tongue hit a snag, Nephthys snarled softly, her tail twitching against her rump. More wolves appeared, and it only made Nephthys more irritated. While she did care for the safety and healing of Beowulf, what she really wanted was to be alone. Maybe run again. No, she couldn't. Not with Zanzibar.

Nephthys' continued to snarl as her irritation peaked and she side stepped away from Kimani, though keeping close to Zanzibar.

The way the ebony brute spoke to Kimani made the hairs on Nephthys' neck rise and she glanced at her sister. The way Kimani responded to him made her heart suddenly freeze and she turned her gaze back to him. She waited, waiting for Kimani or this wolf to confirm her suspicions. As soon as Kimani began to speak, Nephthys knew it was true and her growling stopped. Her eyes were ice cold and hard as they stared at him with icy fury. She stepped forward, ignoring Kimani or Zanzibar if they protested. She walked right up to Plague and stared him in the eyes, not caring that she was breaking a very old wolf tradition by making the eye contact. Alpha's had the right to kill or at least punish any who made eye contact with them in such a...challenging way. She was almost nose of nose with him before she snarled. It was deep from her belly and almost to the point where there was no sound. She slowly let the words form on her lips, speaking with the same deep, icy cold voice.

"Plague, a pleasure." It was sarcastic, of course, and her lips didn't twitch at all, as they might have had another day. "Hurt my sister, and I will kill you. Harm my pack, and I will kill you." It didn't matter that probably half the pack was listening and that she was speaking to the Alpha in such a harsh tone about something so...treasonish. Since her sister had a mate, they were both Alpha, but since Nephthys had only so recently stepped down, she was still very protective of all that was hers. Her pack, her sister, and her child. Harm either, and you just got yourself a death sentance.

Nephthys snarled again, a little bit louder this time to prove her point and turned her back on him as she walked towards her son. She didn't care that it left him with the perfect chance to kill the fae who had just spoken so harshly to him about his mate and his pack. Besides not caring, Nephthys doubted Kimani would let him get away with it. And it would have beein in plain view of Zanzibar. And waking up to see the one he'd been trying to protect dead because of his new alpha, just wouldn't be a good way to wake up, eh, Beowulf?
