During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Kalgalath's cyan blue orbs caught on to movement in front of him, and noticed the brute lupine that was approaching him. He looked formidable in the way that he carried his frame: tall, strong, and assertive. His plume was curled over his back in a way that alphas usually carried themselves, which momentarily confused the male. As the wind blew toward him, he took advantage of it and inhaled, allowing his flares to absorb the scent of the approaching brute. It wasn't a familiar scent; it wasn't one of the scents that had marked the border of the terra and Kalgalath wondered what gave him so much confidence if he, too, was an outsider to the terra. Then, however, he noticed that something about his scent was familiar to the scents marking the terra, and he realized that somehow, he was related to one of the lupines in the pack, even if he himself was not in the pack.

As he came closer to Kalgalath, Kalgalath kept his stance strong and confident, although he kept his plume lowered to a respectful level. He wasn't sure of the intent of this brute, and kept it at a level higher than that of a cowering wolf, yet lower than that of an alpha. In this terra, he was not alpha, and he had to act as such.

As the brute pulled up his lips to reveal his ivories and spoke harshly to him, Kalgalath's lips involuntarily did the same. It was a natural defense response that had been caused by his lupine instincts. He immediately became wary of the brute, not wanting to be caught off guard.

His maw parted as he responded to the brute's words. His voice was deep and low as he replied "I am new to this area and I am looking for a pack to join. What is your role in all of this, which causes you to be so confident of yourself, brute?"

OOC-umm isn't swearing not allowed per the rules?
