The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Because his nose was raised to the wind Sol was quickly alerted of a wolf moving towards him. He swallowed once, shifting his muscles in anticipation and restlessness. He knew without a doubt that it was Nephthys's scent which rapidly bore down on him. In the back of his mind was a small voice screaming at him to turn tail and leave before his eyes met those the dark-pelted femme. He knew that his disguise was faultless, unless she'd seen him recently she would not be able to recognize his face; which was marked by fresh scars, pelt; which had changed colour, scent, or accent. After spending nearly a year in the company of northern wolves the accent he had been raised with had returned in full force. Even if Nephthys recognized the accent from the traces that had been on Eclipse's breath she would assume he was a relative or something. Still, he could not allow himself betray any emotion. He had spent months prior to the visit spending hours a day in a state of mental concentration until his expression remained the neutral blankness of a statue. The northern wolves had helped him with that. Flicking one ear, he ran his tongue over sharp teeth, still with a faint taste of blood on them.

Here she came and he allowed himself one last breath before her dark form came into view. Sol thought he saw a flicker of what could have been disappointment cross her face but it was gone in less than a second and he figured it must have just been his imagination. The fur on the back of Nephthys's neck had begun to rise while Sol's remained perfectly flat, but for a few strands ruffled by the wind. He regarded her with calm distachment, concentrating on any features that would take away tender feelings, the bristled fur, the slightly bared fangs all served as a reminder that she would not hesitate to snap his neck if he misstepped.

Who are you stranger and why do you come here?

Sol's voice was deep and matter-of-fact. He knew that Nephthys was no longer alpha here, for her scent on the border was overpowered by that of Kimani. But, knowing that the two were sisters he knew full well the influence she would wield. He'd let her decide how she would like to play this out.

I am known as Sol.

What a lie. He was known as Death, Reaper and had been dubbed by his own pack the Alpha of Ice.
But in this time and place, he was Sol.
Keeping eye contact with Nephthys, he was careful to keep it from seeming too challenging.

I wish to join and pledge my loyalty to the rulers of this pack.

Another lie. Sol was loyal to Andere Seite.
He had heard more than enough about this Plague and how he treated even his own warriors. Unless the words were all lies, Sol's loyalty to this male would not fill a teaspoon.
Nonetheless...

Sol tilted his large head to one side for a response from Nephthys. If she wished for submission from him he would of course cooperate. However, he would not take steps to offer anything not required so would wait for her to ask him to submit. For now, he would enjoy the simple pleasure of seeing Nephthys, he figured that soon enough such time would be interrupted by potentially bothersome packmates.
