During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Kalgalath's light orbs followed the other brute's cranium as it swung away from him, toward the side. As he watched, the Kong's orbs swept the ground and then returned to focus their attention upon Kalgalath once again. Kalgalath wondered what that had been about, and if it had been memories that had triggered it. Once again, he silently thanked his parents for granting him a past that wasn't too dark. His orbs took in the smile that looked a little too forced, yet didn't take offense. The other's past was not his business and he wouldn't want to push this new acquaintance by pushing for any answers.

His grey towers swiveled to face the brute and listened the words he spoke. So many questions all at once. "Well," he started, taking a breath before answering the on slay of questions, "I am enjoying it here in this terra. It has been the first place I have been able to call home in.. quite some time. However, besides the one who accepted me, you are the only lupine who I have met here. I hope that it is all that you say it is. I haven't met the alphess myself, and I hope for that soon to change. As for the one who accepted me into the pack, I met her blood kin, the one called Angel. He was quite curt with me, although it could be seen as straight forward and to the point. I thought him rude at first, however, seeing all of the lupines who are searching for admittance into this pack, I am not surprised. He also seems to be protective of the alphess, which is only natural. I think that my views of him will change as we become better acquainted, so I am holding my judgment until a later point."

Just then, a piercing cry filled the cold air, and it filled Kalgalath's towers with the urge to go to it. He understood immediately that it was the alphess, her howl calling her pack to her. Turning his frame back to Kong, he smiled, his own ivories glinted in the light of the falling sun. "It seems I get to meet the alphess sooner rather than later. Her scent is mixed with your own, so you have met her. What do you think of her? Will she make a good alphess?" He prayed for the sake of the pack and the new terra that he called home that the brute would allay his thoughts and say that she would.
