The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

I’m not some fairytale princess
Waiting for her knight and horse of white

Plague seemed confused at first, and that sort of made her angry. It was not that fucking hard, was it? He said he had something too, so he needed to get to it or stop wasting her damn time. The tapping motion acted out by the tip of her tail turned more into a small, agitated twitching motion … and her yellow eyes had narrowed slightly at the silence. That and the small movements he made inching forward. Though she didn’t really mind that. Just wanted to be completely sure that he knew his limits. Yes, it probably came naturally to him to want to comfort her, but she wasn’t that type of woman that needed her man to provide her with comfort. It was nice sometimes, sure, but not what she needed, definitely not right then. And if he was thinking that he did something wrong, then all the more power to her mood swings. Really, he didn’t, but it felt very good to direct her anger somewhere, and he was the closest thing to someone at fault for her current condition. After all, she couldn’t have possibly gotten this way without a little help from him, right? Ok, so in the right mindset, that would be an amusing thought … a mindset that definitely wasn’t the one Kimani was in.

”Tell me….please…”

Perhaps he was smart for that … she couldn’t tell at that point. Of course, he wouldn’t just go along with it and tell his first, but it would fall on –for the most part- deaf ears, so she guessed that might have been a clever decision on his part. But was she angry that he did it differently? At this point the female couldn’t tell if she was or not. Of course her revelation would not be made in the traditional tear filled “what shall we do, please save me” sort of way. Nah, none of that pussy shit from Kimani, she was not little Barbie doll type of wolf. A sudden rumbling began low in her chest, though within a few seconds had risen up, and her lips lifted to reveal her pearly knives with a quiet –yet very evident- growl. Through this devil made sound came five words that would no doubt make things very clear in the ebony male’s mind, her lips remained raised up the entire time she spoke. Her voice was not loud, though angry and insane as ever.

I’m pregnant, you horny bastard!

After a few seconds her sheaths covered her deadly tools, though her yellow eyes still had an eternal fire in them. Plague had probably only seen it when he first came to challenge. Really she wasn’t going to kill him, but fuck, she was moody when she wasn’t hormonal. Thoughts of the options she was considering came to her mind, and that was when the faintest traces of crystalline tears began budding at the corners of her eyes. Shaking her skull a few times, She rose up from her seated position and began pacing once more. The same trail as before … not looking to him once now. He would obviously be stunned. Whether the shock was good or bad, Kimani had yet to determine.

I don’t think I’m ready, Plague … and I don’t think you are either, am I correct?

Her words were less harsh than before, but not exactly what you’d call sweet. Not many wolves even knew of the existence of the plant that she had in mind … and it was very rare that a male would. Kimani intended to consult with Xavior if she chose this route, since she knew he had studied as a healer in his previous pack. Plague had always been something of a drifter, if she remembered correctly, so it was even less likely he would know of such a plant. And even if he did, she doubted that he would conclude that was what she meant. His mind would probably assume she was talking of giving them to adoption after birthing them. But even if they did, she didn’t want to go through all that just to give them away. To change her body and go through that pain … no way. Plus she had heard that giving up pups would mess with you … make you always think of them. She didn’t exactly get attached, but she had never gone through something like that. A large tear on each cheek had already rolled down, leaving a path on either side of her face, and another was beginning its way down on the right. Still pacing, she awaited his response … ears trained for his voice though otherwise paying him no real attention.

I’m not some damsel in distress
Waiting for you in the night
