During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Scarecrow’s brown eyes saw the two wolves down at the pack border. A white male was just pulling up to the border. An omega, though it didn’t really matter what rank. He was still in the pack, and for now, in control of the situation. Then there was the other wolf, some grey female that wasn’t submitting yet. Dumb ass … The multi-colored femme hated stupid wolves. What was the first rule of joining a pack? Well, ok, that might be to not cross the border, and the femora had followed that. Ok, well, the second then … you submit at the border. It showed the alphas that you were a lot more eager to respect them and follow their law if they didn’t need to tell you what should come naturally. She found herself wanting to roll her eyes, but withheld … more concerned on paying attention to the lupine pair before her.

The male titled his head back and howled a status report for his alphas. Neither had noticed her, though certainly would soon enough as she was within ten feet of them. He was a large wolf, definitely taller than average, and with toned muscle beneath an unkempt pelt. She could already tell she was a couple inches taller than he, which was nothing new for her … yes, she was an immensely sized wolf even to most males. She still had a figure that was feminine by design, but was obviously quite muscular. No dainty Barbie Doll figure. As she stepped up beside the other female, her velvet auds picked up her words.

"excuse me, are you the Alpha, or am I mistaken?"

Scarecrow silently sighed … she hoped this pack didn’t attract all the idiots. Her eyes didn’t leave the female, who laid a few feet from herself.

Does he look like the alpha?

It was laced with some heavy sarcasm. She couldn’t help it … if this wolf really couldn’t detect who the alpha was then she was marked for death from the minute she decided to join the pack. The alpha really should spare the poor thing and not accept her. Lying on her stomach for a moment, Scarecrow snorted then mumbled ’dumb ass’ in such a way that someone would hear only if they were paying attention. She then continued to roll over in full submission … peering awkwardly up into the trees and the night sky.
