i'd like to point out that no where in the rules does it say fairies develop the power of healing/pain relief through levels.
the nearest you get to healing is --
level 1: "the ability to make a wounded animal feel better by touching it"
level 3: "can put animals at ease enough to entice the animal near enough for them to touch."
these are not healing - they're more like being able to give off vibes to help calm animals down.
a couple of people have, for some reason, thought that fairies can heal through levels - they can't. this has never been the case; the level descriptions have not changed since shaman was created. to obtain healing powers you must trade a coin for them.
the main powers gained through level ups are metamorphosis - ie, the ability to change your own appearance. you also become better at mastering powers gained through coins, get sharper senses, are more in tune with nature and, at high levels, can steal energy from plants/animals.
to find out your fairy's level, check the database. to find out what your fairy's additional level powers are, check the rules.
