if you're american or come from another country and you don't know who jamie oliver is, he is a total legend :) jamie oliver is an english chef who launched a massive campaign in britain to improve the childrens diets by introducing new healthy eating regimes into schools and by teaching parents 1) about nutrition and 2) how to cook. i can't speak for every school in the country, but my school menu was radically altered to become much healthier after jamie oliver's campaign and many young people in my area now have a greater awareness of the importance of healthy food because of him. there is evidence to suggest improvement in educational attainment at school as well as being healthier as a result of having a better school lunch.
now, there is a campaign to introduce jamie oliver's food revolution in america.
