The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Jena leapt back when she knocked into the brute a snarl of warning coming from her when she heard him yelp. A flash of her fangs were given in a threat to him, warning him to leave. She was ready to go on the defensive when she saw him get right back up, but he wasn't coming for her. She lunged at him, knowing she would probably be too late before he reached her foster mother, but not too late that she could probably do some damage on the male. He had left himself open for an attack, and she was going to do her best to take advantage of it. Her fangs aimed for his belly, hoping to tear into it, and watch his fucking life fade away. Jewel's half grunt half yelp made her cringe slightly, but she refused to turn her attention away from the male that had dared to intrude and attack Jewel. She was trying to save Jewel when Baroq came upon the scene, which she hadn't really noticed till he was charging the intruder into a tree. Damn that's got to hurt she thought to herself not pitying the foolish male one bit. She rushed to her mother's side who was clearly having problems. At the sight of the brute tearing into Baroq, she almost rushed in to help him, until a new scent put her mind at ease almost instantly. Her alpha would take care of everything she thought to herself completely positive in Plague's ability. Soon enough the male was dead under the black brute. She took a few steps back when Baroq came to Jewel's side. "I'm fine." She answered her alpha in a soft voice as she watched her foster parents. At Jewel's words she was by her side in a heartbeat. Needing very little reassurance from Jewel she helped her down into the den, and then followed her inside to help.

--------------

Jewel watched as the blur of her daughter's body rammed into the intruder. As he came at her she let out a grunted yelp when she fell on her right side, pain lancing through her as contractions began to go through her body. The pain was intense enough to bring tears to her eyes, and it wasn't long before a few rolled down to stain the earth. Looking up she saw the brute looming over her, ready to kill her. She sneered at him hoping to anger him that he would miscalculate. She closed her eyes bracing herself for the attack and the new pain, but it never came. Aqua orbs opened to see her mate throw the brute against a tree, and she let out a breath of relief. That is till she saw the intruder attack Baroq. She tried to get up too soon, and the pain made her half collapse half lay back down as a low whine made it from her parched throat. Seeing Plague save her mate almost made her whine out in relief. At her mate's licking she smiled even though she was in a lot of pain. Something was wrong, she knew with the pups inside of her, but she didn't voice it. "I need to get to the den now. Jena I might need your help." Her voice was soft, as she forced her legs to move her to the den, her teeth clenched from the pain of the contractions. At Jewel's words Jena was by her side in a heartbeat. Needing very little reassurance from Jewel she helped her down into the den, and then followed her inside to help. Jewel leaned a bit on Jena who was they're to help her below, and she knew her fosterling followed her below like she had asked from the presence behind her.

----------------------

Jena watched as Jewel went to stretch out in one of the den's corner. She knew that the older fea was trying to make herself comfortable before the birthing started. She felt sympathy for her when she noticed the pain her mother was going through as she began to pant. The wait was starting to make her anxious, and she hoped everything would be okay. The fall Jewel had taken to her stomach, might not have cause any harm, but even Jena knew the chances for that were slim. More than likely Jewel was going to have some complications with her first birth now. Worry for her foster mother was clear as time seemed to pass slower and slower for her. In human time it would of been twenty to thirty minutes before the first pup was born. After a few minutes she began to help her mother clean and watch over the pups.

-------------------------

Jewel looked at the pup that had just came into this world. It was a male. Gathering the limp form closer she began to clean him until he began to breathe on his own. Than she nudged the mottled grey pup toward her belly where he began to nurse. Soon another pup was born, a female, and after a few licks she too was breathing easily. The pup was grey and black with a mottled graying on her face, much like a mask. She nudged her to nurse on the teat next to her brother. She turned her attention to the third pup now, another female. This one was black like her father. She began to clean her, and at first she didn't breathe. Fear took her, till relief came with the first breath, but sorrow followed when that first breath turned out to be the last. Tears came to her eyes as she nudged the fragile pup's body aside before going to work on the last born. A male, one that was grey and white like her, but with a black leg and tail. Even with Jena's help at cleaning the pup, he didn't stir or breathe. Again and again she tried, refusing to give up at first. When she finally did a few tears slid down her cheeks as she placed her dead son next to her dead daughter. Tears of pain and joy hung in her eyes as she gave the surviving pups licks on the head before turning her attention to Jena. Her voice was soft as she spoke. "Please go and bury them. Tell Baroq he can come down as well please."

-------------------------

Jena did as she was asked, but before she did, she gave Jewel a reassuring lick upon the head. Then she moved to do what she was she had been asked, and picking her dead siblings fragile bodies up in her mouth she left. Coming out of the mouth of the den she dropped the fragile bodies carefully on the ground as if they were still alive before speaking to her adopted father. "Jewel's asking for you, she's waiting in the den." Then she picked up the fragile bodies once again before going to bury them. Once she was done, she returned to the den, and laid next to the entrance to guard her mother, father, and new siblings. She looked to see if her alpha was still around, but otherwise she was just watchful for any trouble that might come.

--------------------

She watched as the teenager picked their small limp forms up and left to go to the surface. Poor innocent things she couldn't help but think. Now she was alone in the den with her surviving pups, and she watched them with pride. My bundles of joy she thought to herself. Mine and Baroq's children. Her throat felt quite sore, but she would get water after she took a nap she decided, besides she wasn't ready to leave her pups for even a short amount of time. She waited for her mate to come see the pups, and she let her tail curl to her side to make a sort of barrier so they wouldn't wonder far. Being a new mother that just lost two pups she was going to be very protective of the two remaining ones. She watched them through half closed emerald orbs as she would sniff or lick them now and again. She was starting to feel some what drowsy and tired from the birthing and the ordeal from earlier, but she did her best to ignore it till Baroq came.
