The silicon chip inside her head got switched to overload

Nobody’s going to go to school today, she’s going to make them stay at home

Her daddy doesn’t understand it, he always said she was good as gold

Lilith was laying on her bed, curled up in soft fabrics that made her feel like she was in the embrace of a warm, giant creature, like Seth. But he was curled up on the end of her bed, in the form of a clouded leopard, his red irises watched her steady breathing with interest, but she could tell his mind was elsewhere in the castle. She did not bother to intrude, they each needed their privacy sometimes, and she just did not feel like talking. Everything was coming to a climax, Mallos would be back soon and then the darkness would seem to stretch on for eternity. She wondered whether she would have much more time to just curl up on her bed and rest.

The Egyptian Sefert in disguise lifted his head at the sound of three knocks on the wooden door and twitched his nose.
“Arthur?” Lilith called out into the empty air, but heard no reply. Reluctantly she disentangled herself from the sheets and fabrics that had she had curled herself into. She padded, barefooted, to the door and heaved it open, before looking at the dress and note on the floor.
“What does it say?” Called out Seth, who had not bothered to move from his comfortable position.
“He wants me to meet him, in the main hall at six.” She checked her clock and picked up the dress, note and the velvet that had protected them from the dirt of the floor. A smirk crossed her gentle face as she closed the door and held the dress to her body. It was the perfect size, made of the most delicate white and green silks.
“Oh there is no way that he had any hand in making that.” Said the Sefert with a feline grin on his current face and a sparkle in his red eyes. “He might have chosen the colours, but I bet that is it.” There was a chuckle in his voice as Lilith picked up a pillow and threw it at him.
“Shut up, Seth. It is lovely.” She slid off her clothes and went to wash, not wanting to get the dress dirty. After she was clean, she wrapped a white towel around herself and began to brush and style her hair. She set it in loose curls towards the bottom, which framed her face and hung down to below her shoulder blades. Once she was satisfied she put on a silver necklace, made by Adonis, which was the head of a cat with two emeralds for her eyes. She smiled softly as Seth purred behind her.
“Stop being so pernickety, he loves you just the way you are.” The gentle hum of his voice was comforting as he clawed the bed sheets absently.
“But I think it’s something special, why else would he have gone through the trouble of the dress and the note?” Her theory was rather flawless, and the Sefert in disguise shrugged his feline shoulders. She slid out of her towel and hung it up to dry, before putting on some underwear, and then Arthur’s silk dress. She smiled softly and tilted her head. It was a perfect fit, hung to her curves and made her elegant body look even more so.
“You look fantastic, Lilith.” Complimented the feline girl’s familiar, he had grown used to saying nice things to her recently, as it seemed to bring both of their moods up. “Now go get him, Tiger.” She grinned at him before opening the door and heading out. Seth heaved his body off the bed and followed – sure, he was interested. Just because Lilith did not snoop, didn’t mean he could not.

By the time Lilith got to the Great Hall, Arthur was already sat down in his chair at the head of the dining table. She looked at the banners with wide eyes and smiled at Arthur, but she just stood there, taking it all in. She also stood there for the purpose of letting him take her in, the way the silk swayed gently on her body, hung off her hips and breasts, and made her look more elegant than she had done before. The gentle curls hung over her shoulders and around her body, her face framed by her hair which shone golden in the candle light. But one thing had changed dramatically over the past few weeks. She looked healthy. She was no longer drastically underweight and she looked well rested, because she had been managing to sleep. But the best thing about her, that nobody could deny was her face.
The curve of her lips.
She was smiling, properly, for the first time in a long time. Just standing there and smiling.
“Hey, Arthur. I got your note…” She said softly.
