Desmond smirked, catching the eye of the wolf that caught him emerge. How jumpy…were all non-mythicals on the mountain so timid? One followed the other, and Desmond just watched calmly as they backed away from the water, the smaller of the two going to the cover of the forest. Why so far? Was he that afraid of his ‘imagination?’ Or was it the snout? The lion was admirable; he wasn’t too quick to jump the gun. His train of thought faltered when he too leapt to the safety of the trees. Now that was annoying…

Desmond rose up to all fours, clear water gliding over his scales before beading and enhancing the gleam in his blue scales. He inclined his head, taking in their scents. His eyes widened in realization and he snorted, mist shooting from his nostrils and he bore his rather impressive row of teeth. “Which one of you is in Fire?” He demanded, glare shooting from lion to wolf. He had his suspicions on the wolf, but he hoped he was wrong. No member of Fire should be so timid…so frightened by a single sight. If he was correct, a purpose of the pack was to cause destruction in its name, so that others would fear it. He could be wrong altogether and the wolf might’ve just visited, and then was rejected. He snapped open his wings, sending water flying and he rose to sit on his haunches. Just because he was no longer a Fire member did not mean he left its cause, no, he rather liked what it stood for. He couldn’t care less about the alpha, in actuality it was always the Beta in control- the alpha merely a poster child of sorts. Desmond was ready to attack, to rip and tear into these two creatures if they pushed him the wrong way, or if he just really wanted to hurt them. If the wolf didn’t step up, Desmond just might take it into his own talons to remind him just how one of Fire should behave…and maybe the cat would jump in too. All the better.
