(OOC: this post is really bad and not organised in the slightest. i apologise in advanced - also, i had to put names to faces whether or not you've introduced yourself, as to avoid confusion to the best i could. next post will be better.)
I let my skull roll in a nod of acceptance towards the first demon, Scarface. He seemed intelligent enough, but my thoughts didn’t centre around him long. Two other wolves bounded up foolishly, and I raised my hackles in a show of displeasure. Surely they weren’t really this stupid? I stared at them as they plodded along, having their own fun. A heavy snarl dripped venomously from my jaws, and I snapped at the newest male, Edward I believe he said. I didn’t want his drama, nor his mate’s for that matter. I swung a paw out, a clear warning I wouldn’t hesitate to implement that my next move would be much harsher. So much hassle arose from their simple entrance, that I felt myself wondering why I was holding back from making them just another part of the scenery. No, I chided and sighed, I was trying to do this mannerly.
It didn’t take long for a few more to bustle up, but only a few smart ones seemed to recognise me. A nymph with greedy intentions danced closer, and I licked my dark lips to show her I’d taken extra notice. Of course, I wasn’t ready to speak to individuals right now. It was quite pathetic how they clambered around, stumbling over little things like the first male eying down the other, Bella. I didn’t find her interesting at all, so she wasn’t really of my concern. In taking a small breath, I let another growl leave my jaws.
‘Shut the hell up and sit down!’
To show I was being serious, I pulled my lips further back until I felt they’d rip clear of my entire face. Now wouldn’t that be an interesting sight.
‘Scarface, you are welcome. Bella and Edward, please remove yourselves and stand over there,’ I nodded towards my left side. I gave Scar a look and jerked my head to the right. ‘Move.’
Giving a few moments for them to settle in, I twisted my blues on another wolf who had carelessly entered and thrown a corpse of a rabbit on the ground. I stared down at it distastefully before glancing at the owner, Line. ‘You have no right to be here; you have shown yourself to be not only stupid and assumptious, but you have also slain then littered on my lands. Remove yourself, come back another time. Right now you are not welcome here.’ I thought that was clear enough - get gone, or find yourself forcibly removed. The latter option wouldn’t have been pretty, either.
As I turned away from that pathetic lump of fur, I came to meet two yellow eyes. A grin positioned itself across my features and I nodded an acceptance.
‘Welcome. Make sure this one is gone and then we‘ll talk,’ I huffed at Line to make sure he understood which wolf I meant.
So far I had accepted Scarface, Skylight and now this new male, the one who had openly offered to serve me. Good move. I was happy he’d been ready to throw out the trash. Now I only had Bella and Edward to one side. It was going to be up to the pack to help me decide whether or not to keep them; I knew they had gotten under a few of the other’s skin as well, and I wanted to make a few things clear right then. Before I could get in another word, one final nymph stepped in to the small dramatic scene. Kaliskia, as she had howled. I knew she’d come forwards, because honestly we were all hard to miss.
As things started to settle a little more, I heaved a sigh and reassembled myself.
If I’d been obeyed, Bella and Edward would be on the left, and everyone - Scarface, Skylight, Kaliskia - but Shaggy, who was ensuring Line was leaving, would be on my right.
‘I’m glad you have all chosen to answer my call and present yourselves here at Munashii Gekko. Most of you won’t know me; I am Eric, and I am your new alpha. I have no mate, but I am no fool.’ I glanced around to make sure they were listening. ‘You will all be treated equally until you prove yourselves of a higher worth.’
Translation? I wasn’t going to give out ranks willy-nilly there and then. It would be stupid of them to consider that anyway, as far as I was concerned. After my third pause, to amplify their attention, I took a breath and stared around the group on my right.
‘Bella and Edward, as they’ve introduced themselves, have seemed to of caused a little tension at their arrival. I would like the rest of you four to decide whether or not I shall turn down the chance for them to live amongst us.’
The intention was clear, not that I was forcing them to decide. I just wanted an idea of how well prepared my new pack was so far. I thought this was a nice chance for them to earn some respect in exchange for a clear answer.
