Blitz's ears lowered slightly as his mate started to speak, he really didn't like the way it sounded so far. P-please no... please say he's not about to tell me he's going back to his ex... I-I'd do anything to stop him from drifting away from me... the brute thought though the idea barely had any idea to process in his mind before Drau's statement waws finished, causing his ears to flatten themselves against his skull. He didn't know whether he should feel sorry for Snowfall or be happy that she was gone and wouldn't be able to steal Drau away from him. Though to be honest it would have been a great surprise if she had managed to get him to come back to her in the first place. Blitz looked down at his paws, knowing he should be feeling sympathetic. For his mate, not for the brute's ex. "Drau... I'm so sorry..." Blitz said softly, staring at his paws before then looking up at his mate momentarily and returning his gaze to his paws. He had to stop himself from growling as Drau mentioned leaving his son at Ice Pack, Fire members were told to eliminate any member they came across, he tried to put it behind him as best he could but... he wasn't the best actor and so any of the discomfort he felt was shown just not quite as driastically as he truly felt.

Blitz sort of understood what the brute was going through, he had lost enough family members; uncles, aunts, his parents, his grandparents... his brother. But... he didn't know what the feeling was like when you lost a family member or friend who was close to you, much less someone you used to be mates with... But the words about Drau's son, his stepson, reminded him of what Drau had said at the mountain on their first night there; "left my mate and her no-good blind and deaf pups behind... No use to me." Blitz sighws as the words repeated themselves in his head. So... if his pups weren't handicapped... would he still have left her? W-would he be here with me or.... or would he be with his ex, raising another litter with her... pushing aside the feelings that he would have admitted to me had he wanted to leave her? Blitz didn't know... he didn't know what to think anymore... He hoped Drau would still be here with him even if things had turned out differently for him and SnowFall, he wanted to blieve that more than anything but... for some strange reason he doubted it...

Blitz had picked up on the snarl and he felt his fur bristle, looking up from his paws and turning his head to the other canine he let his eyes scan his stepson, a blank expression on his features, his fur gently settled back into place, Drau's son was no threat to him. His expression was indifferent and the look in his eyes only showed the concern he felt for his mate which was just as well because he didn't want either brute to see the slight jealousy he was feeling now that Drau's previous family was reforming. The brute raised his right forepaw, looking over it as though he was examining it because he had nothing better to do. "Well, Drau? Do you want him back?" He murmured, returning his paw to the ground and looking over his mate now, he personally had no problem with his mate taking his son back and he certainly wasn't trying to stop the brute if that was what her wanted. The brute said nothing more as he waited for his mate to give a response, a cool, collective look in his eyes now and a slight maniacal smile tugging at his lips. Might as well at least appear relaxed about this situation, maniacal but... relaxed.
