During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Ah, but didn't everyone need a vacation every so often? Even Red Star took some pleasure in getting away every now and again, a break to return to her roots and live alongside the elk, to return to the earth as a lonely creature of pure thought, without the need for ordering others or focus on how things are to run. But every vacation has an end, and after five days of her only goal being survival, she's come home. She left Kestrel in charge in her wake, and was pleased to see the pack easy to get into -- no wolves lingered on her borders, or inside them for that matter. What she did notice, however, were the twisting and twining scents on the air, all leading to one central point in the pack. She licked her chops and skulked towards it, tail curling high over her back.

Kestrel was there, that was the first thing she noticed. The white dog stood out against the rather wilty-looking tropical area around him. Then she noticed the several new wolves scattered about his feet, and Devil's Angel. She snorted softly and sauntered up beside Kestrel, her gaze falling over the other wolves and considering them all. "Kch," she scoffed, turning to her lieutenant Alpha.

"Kestrel, I trust you didn't have too much trouble with the mongrels while I was gone?" Her voice was a soft growl as always, dismissing the loners until she could deal with them. First and foremost, she had business to attend to. Her gaze moved to Devil's Angel quickly, speaking to her now.

"You. You were patrolling when I left -- tell me, any upsets?"

And then, and only then, Red Star's marred visage turned to Kaliskia, a wolf that Red Star had hear Kestrel address. She wasn't submitting, she hadn't had her name stated back... it had to have been her. Red Star's gaze narrowed in irritation, tail raising higher yet and the fur on her chest and back fluffing up a bit, canines flashing dangerously.

"Obey your betters, mutt," she snarled, holding Kaliskia's gaze boldly. Back into the swing of things, just like she always was.
