Cersei could not find it in her heart to love the desert. It was winter and yet it still felt like the dead of summer. She missed the frigid lands of the Cove. She had wanted to leave so badly when she was still there, and now, she wanted nothing more than to return to her birth place. She just wanted her past life back. When things were simple and her mother hadn't betrayed her father.
That would never happen. What was done was done, and Cersei couldn't go back. Not when her mother seemed so gravely ill all the time. Hush was exiled from the Cove - but the little lioness wasn't. She missed her father in all his glory, too. True, she hadn't spent much time with him at all, but he was still her dad.
By chance she hears him calling. At first Cersei thinks she is hearing something. Did he really travel all this way to see me? Her heart begins to race and a smile appears. Cersei hasn't felt this happiness in a long while. Like a bat out of hell, she immediately starts to run towards the call - blindly. She travels through dune and sand on a mission.
To see her daddy.
When she comes atop a hill, she spots him in an instant. His white coat made him stick out like a sore thumb, and she squeals. "Dad!" She yells down to Array, making her way clumsily towards him. She could have almost plowed right into him, sending them both into a tumble through the sand. She somehow manages to stop that from happening - slowly barely enough. She goes to nuzzle his neck, burying her face into his skin. "I can't believe you're here! I've missed you, Dad! I've thought of you every day!" She sounds like she might start crying, but she doesn't.
She fights the tears and only wants to cuddle Array. To feel his protection and security that only a father could give his daughter. "I hate it here!"
