Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

From the outskirts Omni could see that his alpha was busy with all the newcomers; he watched heads bob up and down and dust mushroom into the air as wolves rose as fell from the terra in front of the brute’s ivory pillars. At first they had come trickling in, drawn like rain drops by gravity as they flow down a window, until it became a ceaseless flood reaching all corners of Blossom Forest. Different genders and breeds mixed as if they were all one family, all seeking the same thing from Bright Moon. Protection. The white male would do his best to provide, for whatever that was worth. This pack was the ball and chain on his soul, he would do best to tend to it and keep it healthy, lest it drag him back to the mud where his memories resided. His turquoise eyes shadowed, he saw no others he recognized besides Wolftail, who had brought another stranger in tow. No pang shook his heart at the sight of friends greeting each other, companionship evident in warm smiles, murmured words. He wasn’t here to get close to any of them.

The actions that had caused his heart beat to falter a bit were the thanks of his alpha, the soft tones suggesting that he too knew of the distinct bond they shared, a curse few others at the meeting were burdened with. With a semi-interested faēade the regal old stag kept an eye out for Raylen. He had first been associated with the wolf at the former pack meeting, and had taken a liking to him through his understanding words and his stately appearance. There was no kinship between them, but he had that personality that Omni always attributed to one whom had met Satowra. She had that effect of light-heartedness and forgiveness that seeped onto those around her like a virus, but did the opposite of what the metaphor suggests. It was a blessing to have known such a female…He let out a small, weary sigh, at the direction his thoughts had once more taken, casting a short glance to the sky.

The overwhelming scent of wolves adopted a tinge of wild trees and bubbling springs, mixing with the ashy and yet vibrant mark of those who had been in the terra for longer. The mixture felt like acid in his nostrils; this was definitely the largest amount of wolves he’d probably ever been with in his life at one time, and as he watched even another male joined the fray. It was good news to see the pack prosperous like this, it was promising. The self-appointed body guard shifted in his place, almost affected by the sheer happiness that resonated from a burnt red girl each time her banner thumped against the ground. The bulk of his emotions were inaccessible, as they were in his heart that now felt so hollow it hurt to even try and search for them. It filled him with hopelessness, loneliness, to try and seek them out and to find the probing tendril enveloped in unending darkness, never ending sorrow. What he needed was her courage, her strength, but the punishment of his continued living tore down any reserves he began to store.

One flash of lightning and he was out for the count, one puddle of mud and he was useless for the rest of the day, too depressed to think straight as he stumbled from one memory to another.

But here and now it was much easier to distract himself as he tried to retain information about each wolf present. It wasn’t easy, but it was a blessedly welcome task and he embraced it, darting his orbs from one to another in assessment. They were a motley bunch, but it didn’t look like much time would be needed to make them feel like part of the pack. Already it was starting to appear like an organized group, and Omni was pleased. They were much simpler to protect that way. Names bombarded his auds, but none were retained as the newcomers moved in and out of his line of vision, that at the moment was burning on the back of an ashy female pelt. He’d caught her uttered words about the size of the pack lands and wondered about it himself. He tried to avoid the borders… He didn’t know how he would treat them if another showed up like he had, shattered. It wasn’t something the male could deal with at the moment.

As he waited for the news to begin and introductions to arise, even considering imposing some personally, Omni returned to surveying his fellow packmates.
