Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

She looks so entranced by the sight. I wonder why I can't be like that either -- physical beauty never really attracts me, although that's a plus, I suppose. Only the intangible things capture my attention, things that cannot be seen or touched, only felt deep within yourself. Misty's golden gaze catches my teal one and her smirk is wide on her pale lips. She calls me a whimsical idiot and although I'm not really insulted (because honestly, that is probably what I truly am) my eyes widen. Of all the lupines, I would not expect Misty to be the one to say something like that. But who am I to judge? Perhaps she'd not always been the Misty that stood politely at the borders of my homeland. But still I scrape my ears back against my head and scoff a few times, my face contorted in offense. "Why, I-I... that is just..." I trail off as she begins to stammer awkwardly, her face surely heated in embarrassment.

I can't help it - my muscles quiver a little as I laugh. I'm not laughing at her, really. But the sound still breaks softly from my throat and I sidle a few inches closer to the polar girl. "It's all right, Misty. Really. I'm both of those things and more." I pause, thoughtful. "Add lovesick to that list too. I was a whimsical, lovesick idiot." For a moment we sit in silence and I feel her tense next to me when I sit. She continues to astound me with both her actions and words. I watch the view closer, but my ear still twists when she speaks. I chuckle.

"Perhaps it did," I respond, voice quieter. My smirk mirrors her at her next comment and my ears are pricked and alert, but I don't say anything in response. What would I say? "Yes, Misty, I was following you because you're amazingly interesting." That would most likely not go over well.

I inhale a deep breath. "It's been like this every time I've come. I suppose that's why they call it Rainbow Cliff," I say, watching the play of light, the way the colors are splayed and blended into each other. "It's unique. I haven't seen anywhere else like this place."
