Freebies are often granted to "all active characters". A character is considered active if it has made an IC post within the last 2 weeks. Posts made after the freebie was posted do not count.

as always this year, we will be having a christmas advent calendar. this will be starting from december 1st (tomorrow) and will be posted every day until december 24th.
every day at different times, a little advent will be posted on a random board somewhere on the site. the first person to find it and post a "claim" underneath it will receive the prize. usually this is only one person, unless the advent otherwise states. in your claim please make sure you include which character you wish to give your advent to if applicable. posting on the updates board will not be necessary as advents will be updated automatically.
christmas presents will be distributed by the admin as usual on christmas day, december 25th.
new christmas items will be appearing in shops soon. on top of these there may be opportunities to attain rare 2011 special edition christmas items from quest characters which you can sell to the collector for doubloons, so keep an eye on the boards.
you can also use the trading post to distribute christmas items if you wish. last year there was a rather successful secret santa operation - if anyone wants to organise this again please feel free to.
