Tenebrae's face twisted as Brom spoke. "Happy?" her voice broke a little, and her eyes became lost and melancholy. "I would, but I'm... I'm broken."

She was only half speaking to Brom now, more to herself- these were all the things she couldn't say to Miyuki, couldn't say to Amado, because she had her SIGHT BACK, and everything way meant to be GOOD and HAPPY, whereas in truth Tenebrae was still shattered. Amado was resourceful, he had the ability to move on and heal, but Tenebrae... Tenebrae didn't know if she ever could, if she had it in her to ever recover, ever heal. Some wounds would never close.

"Me ending up with nobody." she mumbled, "Would definitely be best for everybody. People I love... End up suffering. It's not fair, because... because I'll never be able to help them. I watched my mother die when I was too young to walk.
She wlays thought my father would care for me, even though he left her. She never stopped loving him, and she always told me that he'd care for me when.. when it as over. And I found him, and he wouldn't even look at me." she ducked her head down, her mouth turned resolutely downwards, sharp ears flat against her skull.

A distant part of her could barely beleive she was telling a perfect stranger the darkest aspects of her short life. But in a way, a perfect stranger was exactly what she needed. Somebody who she probably would never see again, who didn't know enough to judge her, who couldn't use it against her.

She gazed at Brom with an expression close to fear in her gaze. The fey was made up of contradictions- in some ways tough as nails, in others outstandingly vulnerable. In a way, she was terribly afraid of Brom.
