The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

PhotobucketSeline was weary, as she had been for some months now. It seemed that the wound upon her shoulder was giving her quite some trouble; the mostly cleaned gash had brought on a small infection to her flesh, which left the Queen rather weak and restless during the past few weeks. Andere had also had a challenger not too long ago, to which Sel had sent her Uncle to take care of; but it seemed the weakling who dared threaten her home had retreated. Whether it was intimidation on her Uncle’s part, or just cowardice on the fools- Seline was content to know her family was still intact and safe. The alabaster and crimson lady only wished she could say the same for herself. Her mind had continued to grow more and more frantic with each passing day that her children were still absent. It had literally been months since she had seen their faces, let alone catch trail of their scent. They had better be home soon; or they were in for a world of hurt from Mommy dearest.

For awhile, the Queen of Andere had kept herself secluded within her den, doing her best to nurse her wounds and gain her strength back. While her other injuries had long since healed; the damned savaged flesh at her shoulder had become timidly infected, giving the lady a slight limp as well as a constant pain in her shoulder. The scrapes she had received from Kree across her muzzle, the ones that had bit down to bone; they had healed well, only now she bore a new set of scars exactly matching those on her chest. As a Satanican, it was custom that when all young warriors came of age, they received the mark of their family. Three scars were prominent on all the older wolves chests; Saladin, Liquid, Valiant, Seline herself. Only her children Cade and Quirino did not hold the marks; though they would soon enough.

But it was now that she had a pair of matching scars across her muzzle, completely marring the right side of her rather beautiful face. The injury had taken most of the flesh away from the base bone of her muzzle. The crimson she had splashed across that particular side of her face did not conceal the scars very well. If it had been on the alabaster, crème white side of her face, the scars would be easily hidden and practically undetectable against the almost same colourations. But because it was on the crimson side, the three prominent scars that lead all the way to bone were quite prominent, running at first parallel alone her muzzle before cutting down suddenly to run perpendicular. One could almost say the Queen now had a forever, hideous smile carved into her maw, though the scar nor injury had cost her nothing.

It was now that Seline had finally decided to leave the safety, and sanctuary of her den. As relatively new Alpha, she knew it was her duty to learn each one of her wolves on her own terms, as they were considered her family now. Only, the rather intelligent she-wolf knew she had been very, very lenient with the bunch that had heeded her call for the pack meeting. Granted she had exiled two wolves from the pack, but she knew there were others who it would do well to get rid of. But a pack needed all of their wolves, and Seline had it set in her mind to give each different wolf a chance to prove themselves. Of course her family would need to do no such thing as she already knew their worth and meaning very well to hear heart and soul; it was the newcomers who would have to worry and concern themselves with such a manner.

Calix had already proven himself well with greeting people on the border, Seline knew well, and she fleetingly that she would seek him out on her own one day; have a heart to heart meeting, one on one. The Queen wondered just how much Calix would enjoy that. The older she-wolf with the rather thick accent and broken speech- Tjikiju was her name, though Seline had not been informed on such- was rather intriguing to the Queen, and she knew she would seek her out on alone time just as she would do with Calix. Other various wolves had promise within the newly flourishing pack, such as the male Lucrene who had caught Seline’s eye, but there were more convenient times to think about such things. Limping slightly and occasionally, Seline had begun rounds around the outskirts of her territory, making sure to mark her borders boldly for any wolf that found themselves foolish enough to stumble upon her land. Now, whether they sought solace or confrontation was for their own mind to decide.

It was during one of these rounds that Seline caught the scent of that very same, mysterious, foreign female. The excited girl within her heart also began squirming upon catching the scent that soon joined and entwined itself within the females own; Saladin, Sel’s very own Father. Though she had seen him a few weeks ago at the tail end of the meeting, Seline was very much excited to see her Father as she always was, though if one were to look upon her face they would have no idea she felt that way. Her expression was always one of a cool and collected demeanor; always deftly concealing what exactly was swimming within the sly vixens mind. Her emerald irises were wide and bright with the excitement of the thought, though, and may have given her away if she had not paused to calm herself. She was almost upon the pair when she stopped her movements to take a few deep breaths, the brightness still retaining within her irises but not as bold and out there as it had been a few moments ago.

Her gaze first went to her Father as she entered the clearing; still as handsome and as regal as ever, she almost had it in her mind to bow down to him and submit, to show him she was still his good little girl and there to help him spread the Satanican gene. But the Alpha drive in her that she felt currently knew he was part of her pack, and in that belonging below her in her reins; though the daughter in her would never be able to get rid of the revere she felt when around her Father; the respect, the proud raw power she always felt. Wordlessly greeting him with a gently caress of her onyx nose against his jaw, the Queen of Andere was quick in turning her attention on the female beside her Father. She seemed to have an almost dreamy expression to her muzzle, and it caused a light smile to curl up along Seline’s dark lips; she knew her own moments of lucidity very well.

Fancy meeting you here again,” Sel kept her voice friendly and warm as she greeted the opposite female, rather curious of her origins at the moment. Where had she come from, where had she picked up on that odd accent; and most important of all, what in the world was her name? “I believe you know who I am, but.. I’m Seline. May I ask what you call yourself?” Tilting her jaw slightly to the left, the Queen of Andere kept the smile against her lips as she gazed contently at the she-wolf before her. When she had greeted her Father, Saladin, she did not move away immediately after, nor did she now. Instead she kept a rather close distance to him, feeling safe and protected; not to mention happy when beside him. She was her core after all; Sal had taught Sel all she knew in life, and she owed him everything because of it.
