The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

if you find a four-leaf clover
you will discover happiness.
but it can never be found.
happiness lies inside
a secret cage.
no one can possess
the four-leaf clover.

As I nod my leave to Lucrene, and brush up gratefully against Taru (in case either of them do not come with us). My soft prescense disappears into the foliage and as soon as I’m out of earshot of the other two vargs that had so gratefully given me their attention, I open my maw for Calix’s audettes only. ”Calix… there’s something I want to tell you-“ But these words are whispers, and Calix is already loping towards the newcomer. Audettes fly back against my crown and I press my legs to go faster. Unfortunately, hesitating seems to be of my great works of art, and I do more than just slow down. I practically come to a stop. My legs feel like lead… despite the refreshing wash in the river that I’ve had earlier. I rub myself against some trees, determined to get at least some of the mint off of it. Then, I’m pushing myself to a trot yet again, determined to get my teenage body over there. I arrive a little late (per usual) as it would seem that Calix has already asked for the boy’s name. Something about this varg though… it sets me on edge. It’s like… he’s troublesome and he knows he is. There is a look of defeat about him… has his courage been crushed already by some soul?

I saunter up next to Calix with no word coming out of my jowls. It is not in my place to speak here. Apparently, I was only asked along to meet Seline, the alphess of these lands. Kylo, as he called himself, would be judged just the same as I was to be. I drop to my stomach, panting a little. This extra work energy is so not coming easily. My legs ache, my rump is killing me, and my heart is still pounding against my rib cage. At least half of the mint stench has washed off thanks to the vanilla perfume of some pines, but it’s still detectable. I listen intently at what Calix will say next. This boy has some nerve, coming in with a bold voice like that. I don’t believe he has even dropped to the ground yet. It is needless to say that I only hate a few certain vargs. But right now, I’m in a bad mood. I just got raped and brutehandled. I’m not in the mood for some witty soul to just come around and sum up some courage for the borders. Oh Calix… why did you bring me here right now? My gaze travels to the demon who has become somewhat of an elder brother to me within the past forty eight hours. If he looks over, he will see the words dancing along my visage, wanting to fervently present themself to him. I need his guidance right now. But I look back to Kylo with no word of my opinion and I slash my tassel through the air. It has been a long day for me… and maybe just as long for this boy at the territory lines. I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. So I open up and accept the titan for who he is. Whether he is good or bad, I don’t know, but he is himself. He has his own stories to tell. I’m sorry… I’m rambling, aren’t I?
