Her stargazers watched as Abe went down to settle whatever was happening with Night Shadows. She was in no mood for more fighting so of course she had decided to stay here. A scent reached her nares, one she would never forget, not for a while. Vader was here. Her body remained calm although her heart began racing and her hues shifted frantically as she searched for him. Maybe it was her imagination. Then, she saw his dark build appear from behind a bush. She watched him stretch and come toward her. How relaxed and carefree he looked. Anexea felt nothing of the kind. Her entire body went numb. She lifted her upper lip into a snarl as he approached her. She couldn’t help it though, the closer he came the faster her heart beat. The stupid thing was it wasn’t out of fear. "Ahh, darling. Found more acquaintances have you? Can't keep yourself out of trouble. My, my...Tsk, tsk. Whatever shall I do with you, hmm, my dear Anexea?"
His words penetrated her and she clenched her jaws shut. She felt his tail curl around her as he drew near. His body heat was suffocating and she closed her eyes. Wanting it to end yet continue at the same time. Her paw suddenly ached ten times fold and she curled it closer into her stomach. She could smell his aroma all around her, overpowering her from the outside in. She could see the bloodlust in his eyes and she shivered for two reasons.
“You couldn’t resist me, could you dear? You had to come back for a little more of a taste?”
Surprisingly, the words were easy to say. They were a strong melody that flowed from her kissers and throughout the area. She raised her head and looked into his evil portals. Why she was so attracted to him she had no idea. A snarl reached her numb audits and the reverie was shattered. Abe’s figure flashed across her vision as she saw him come at Vader. A female walked into the area and everything began happening too fast. Everyone seemed to be talking at once and Anexea couldn’t concentrate on anything. The fae was gesturing for her to go into the cave and for a moment she almost did. She slowly got to her feet, resting her weight on three legs yet keeping her leg on the ground.
“I’m not going anywhere.”
Her voice was low and she let her hues drift from each wolf. Something was bound to happen here and Anexea wasn’t simply going to hide it out. She was just as much a part of this as anyone else. She took a deep breath to steady herself as she waited, tense and alert.
