During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Chocolate orbs trailed after the coward as he wove his way out of Quarrels Clearing. The bastard was leaving! He had the audacity to waltz up to my borders to challenge me in the first place, and now he wastes my prescious time and energy by leaving in the middle of our fight. Where did all that damn courage get to? A growl erupted from my chest and out my jowls, but I couldn't help how it was smothered with an amused chuckle. Straightening my stance, I couldn't help but wince as the movement stretched my most recent wounds. Now that I had the time, I could focus more clearly on the changes in my body. The effects of the wounds I now behold have begun to pick up as my heart rate slowed back to it's original beat. Surveying the gashes under my body, I finally noticed that it started down the front of my chest and shallowed as it reached the peak of my flabby stomach-where the undersized fool decided to grab a chunk out of me. It was still bleeding rather rapidly from the newest movements, and it had no intention of giving me the pleasure by stopping so soon. On the other hand, the wound on the back of my neck-my nape-wasn't as bad, and wasn't bleeding as bad as I had thought it would. Either way, both would leave intimidating scars that would add to my collection. A grin moved its way across my pallette, distorting at the point where my scar intersected my ebon lips.

Taking a deep breath, I ignored the dizzy feeling due to much blood loss and slowly turned in the direction of my packlands. I wondered how well it was getting along since my time away; it had taken much time, with the wait for the damn fool to arrive and then to get the fight going before he ran off. It was just a waste of time, but I guess it all happens for a reason. As my appendages moved in short steps, I took notice of how stiff they had become. Seems as though I would need to get a little rest before I returned to my official duties as Alpha. But alas, I raised my banner in dominance and victory, flaunting it everywhere as I winded my way out of Quarrel's Clearing, entering the shadows and letting them engulf my lithe frame, allowing them to wrap around me as I embraced them. Little moonlight trickled through the canopys that covored the tops of the forest, leaving the night dark and silent.

Covering the grounds hadn't taken as long as I thought it would, for the sun had just began to peek over the horizon as I crossed the borders of my domain. A pleased smile worked its way upon my ebony kissers, chocolate orbs scanning the area as I felt my whole body relax. All tension dissappeared, and I inhaled deeply to catch the most recent scents. Not too far off I caught the scent of Miya, along with a strange male, but they both were in the territory, which probably meant he came by while I was away. The next scent I caught was Devil's Angel and Rhundus, but yet another stranger female's scent lingered throughout the air. Well, at least it was nice to know that some were active. Slowing my pace, I was about to proceed on my way to the center of my territory, but was halted by the smell of yet another unfamiliar varg. This one wasn't mixed with any of my recently known pack members, and once again I was on high alert, dominance overbearing in my stance as I changed my direction.

Sure, I had just fought a challenger, and my wounds were still noticably fresh, both still dripping crimson and causing me to be more weak, but being devoted to my work, I stalked towards the vargs at my borders. Tensed bodily functions, banner curled over my spine, and piercing oculars caught sight of something in the distance. A lithe outline caught my attention at first, but I was quick to notice the smaller one that had ignored my territory warnings all together and had just pranced right on in. A snarl lifted its way out my maw, ivories baring. My tolerance level had been low to begin with, and even if this wolf was just a pup, they should know better, and to think the gaurdian had just allowed them to prance right on in. Ignoring how my wounds began to throb, I growled out orders, "You have crossed my borders without permission," I snapped, ivories still bared, "I suggest that you submit right away, both of you, for I will not show any sympathy while I sink my teeth into both of your flesh." I glanced at the pup's gaurdian in warning, lip curling up to get my point across. Normally I would have chased both of them off in an instant, but it just so happened that coming out on top at the challenge had gotten me in a generous mood, but will it last much longer?
