The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

The disgust that had been painted across the scarred warlord's facial had already faded, soothed away, perhaps, by the more malicious air of the place known as 'the Cavern of Secrets'. Though he was not one to revel in the darkness, being alone (or, at the very least, as alone as he could get, what with his servant, Byakuya, constantly trailing him) was a pleasant experience. He could not stand to be in the company of the majority of beasts that frisked and played in the vast, lush lands of Blossom Forest. The smoke and terra-coated veteran was a typical 'evil wolf' in the fact that the benevolent exchanges between brainless creatures who lived in the light sickened him more than slightly. In fact, his travelling through the bright, sunlight planes of Romance River, the Mating Dens, Adoption Meadows, Quarrels Clearing and Leisure Lake had been enough to fill him with a barely disguised feeling of roiling hatred for the foolish souls who, without even a thought, danced and smiled their lives away without ever once feeling pain.

How he hated them for their shallowness, their foolish greed, their petty disputes... The mere whisper of thought about the normal wolves and their bizarre happiness was enough to trigger a dangerous internal growl, though on the outside he remained as still, composed and emotionless as ever. He had tilted back his massive skull and offered out a howl, one summoning any creature brave enough to make an appearance. The exact lyrics in his feral noise were not defined, as his was a call of intentions, not of words. His song had been orchestrated smoothly, a haunting burst of feral music had soared into the air and through the dank depths of the cave. The dark hessian flicked his ears, slanting the pair of soldiers back slightly in response to the echoes of melody that reverberated throughout the rancid air of the tomb, each decibel shaking the particles of air and cascading into the awaiting audatives of all vargs within hearing distance. The chamber in which he, his subordinate and the random stalker he had picked up a few days ago lurked was strongly effected by the sound of his mighty voice, but from what the crystal-eyed pharoah had seen, both the pallid, sandy hued creature and the long legged, grey creature had positioned themselves behind him and had nothing of importance to say, as they did not part their jowls to utter words.

His vocalization had scarcely faded from the bowls of the earth when the faint sounds of footfalls reached the shaggy carnivore, along with the scent of a male. He waited with a sort of amused, grim anticipation, lounging languidly on his haunches as a ghostly stag flitted into the chamber that Naraku's imposing presence claimed as his own. The smaller demon wasted no time looking about and sizing the situation up. Rather, the being stalked forward, his inclination to flirt showing strong and clear with the signals that he was sending. Well, it takes two to tango, and Naraku could play the game as well as any other wolf, despite the fact that he wasn't homosexual. Rising to his feet in one graceful motion, he stepped forward, into the circling male in a subtly dominant fashion. "I could say the same about you, hmm?" His voice was low and masculine, but not enough to sound weird. At the moment, his words where a low murmur, a rumbling purr of lyrics. Returning to his impassive state, he listened to the eerie newcomer introduce himself as Chesire. Within their few moments of contact, Naraku has come to assume that the bronco's strange sense of humor will be something that he'll need to get used to gradually, not that he cares - the darling looked very manipulative to him, something that he'd be sure to utilize in the near future.

While he had been exchanging comments with the lad before him, he became aware of a new presence coming toward him. The beguiling odour of a female snaked toward his awaiting nares, pulled along by a damp draft of cold air that moved through the otherwise musty cells that made up the rocky catacombs. The beast's eyes remained fixated on the male as he lowered himself onto his stomach, seemingly wanting to take an impromptu nap (not that Naraku was judging, though from the heavy aura of irritation coming from Gollum, he sensed the sand-hued male was feeling rather incredulous about the new arrival), but his tulips alertly swivelled in the direction of the lass' faint but tangible pawsteps. He swung his head toward where he anticipated that she would appear, and was rewarded with the sound of a contempt-filled snort, followed by some mocking words. Naraku listened to the amber-eyed vampiress, amused by her sharp tongue and instant hate for Chesire. As soon as she was done looking none-to-nicely at the teen, she turned her golden orbs to scrutinize the trio. She checked out Gollum, then Byakuya before her eyes settled on the dominant lord in the middle. She made eye contact for a moment - Naraku sensed instantly that the blood-scented maiden was a soul who he could grow to like in the near future from the malignant darkness he saw brewing within her heart. After breaking the fleeting moment, she spoke again, this time aiming her voice toward him. In reply to her words, the male let a smirk travel across his kissers. "Welcome to hell, Shiva, call me Naraku. You are correct - submission is hardly necessary."

He was about to say more to the woman, but the male who had been checking out the situation decided it was his time to come in. Unlike the other two wolves who had come, this Barron had obviously been outside of the caves until quite recently - the vampire guessed that he had heard his call from the very vestibule of the infernal depths. Naraku fixed him in a piercing gaze, one made all the more menacing by the scar that traced it's way over his right eye, and digested his articulation. To be honest, the rugged masculine was almost alarmed by the fact that this Barron already knew his plans, but he didn't let it show. Instead, he just took it in stride, letting the comment go unchallenged. "There is always room for more, Barron." Naraku's silken tenor slipped from his maw as he addressed the lean fighter.

A moment of peace followed, during which Naraku would have spoken, had not the sound of tense footsteps been clearly evident. Unlike when Shiva had arrived, what little breezes existed in the Cavern of Secrets did not assist him. They resolutely dragged in smells from the other room while ignoring the approaching paws. He could hear the wolf clearly, but it was impossible to detect them by scent until they had rounded the second to last corner. At that moment, Naraku received a surprise. Red Reaper, a foolish, naive scrap of a wolfess who he used to pretend to be friends with and be horribly mean to as a child had seemingly come to Blossom Forest to follow him. When the new alpha had taken over his parent's land, the rangy male, who was only a teen at the time, had been forced to escape from the lands that he had once been nobility within. It amused the demon to think that his youthful sway over the scarlet and white maiden had been so strong that she had forsaken her comfortable home life in order to follow him. He didn't have much time to think before she rounded the final turn and came bolting toward him. Her blissful cry and caress cause the titan a bit of irritation, not that he shows it. Moons had passed, but Red Reaper was still as needy as always. In reply to her words, he spoke, his tone a tad sarcastic. "Yes, that does appear to be the case." He then stepped aside, neatly disengaging himself from her embrace with a long suffering expression on his palate.
