The dog blinked at Maliki's malicious explanation, tilting his head and raising his hackles a little. Eat him! The lion wanted to eat him? He knew he was a little, well, /bigger/ than some of the other creatures on the mountain, but that didn't mean he was to be eaten... His burliness was mostly fur now, anyway, though he'd soon lose his winter coat in exchange for the less-dense summer fur he wore. How strange not to have someone to groom it out for him...

No time to think about that, though, he thought, snorting a little and glaring at the cat as he approached, scooting a little further down himself to maintain the distance between them. Koguma winced slightly at the roar, the loudness painful, but he noticed with some satisfaction that Maliki would likely still fall short of catching him were he to make the leap now. "Well, you can't eat me, so just go away," he barked, growling a little and bristling still. Eat him!
