Encantador is still standing with the Friesian male who is looking for a home and dares not abandon him now, not when he's so close to securing a mutually beneficial deal with this stranger. Offering his dark companion a sheepish smile, he averts his gaze briefly and glances down the length of the shore to where the silhouettes of two equine stand together. One he recognizes instantly as El Aran; the other takes a moment, but he soon realizes that it is Misty.
Normally he would be grateful that his lead mare had taken the initiative to see to this visitor, but today he feels only worry. Before he's really aware of what he's doing, Encantador has excused himself from the presence of the Friesian and is trotting briskly across the baked earth to where his partner and acquaintance linger. There's a flicker of uncertainty in his dark eyes as he regards El Aran, but he manages a smile and offers his nose to the young bay female. "What a nice surprise," he comments, and pulls his head back to stand parallel with his lead mare. "Welcome to the desert, Misty: if 'welcome' is the right word."
He chuckles in what he hopes is a pleasant way and inclines his head toward his partner. "This is El Aran. She helps me take care of things here. El Aran, this is Misty. She's a friend; we met on the crossing."
