The fox seemed a little startled to hear the things Merlin and LZ were conversing so openly about. It had never occured to Merlin that there might be some people on the mountain that had simply no idea the extent of the wonders of the mountain. What blessings and mythicals could do...now that, that was amazing, terribly so. Merlin had grown up knowing about these things, having a sort of Witch as a mother (oddly enough, her name had also been Witch), and being brought to life after being stillborn. He'd been brought to life by Palladin, someone who had donated his life blessing to help Merlin, in the hope Merlin would someday do the same for someone else. And that was just what Merlin planned to do. Every day, he grew stronger with blessings, and he aimed to help and protect all those who needed it. Eventually, he would be good enough to save lives...but for now, he was but a boy, learning about life in his own way.

Merlin admired the way the fox's red tail curled around like some sort of beautiful...thing! No words could compare with the coat of wolves and foxes...foxes especially so. The coat of a wolf was usuaully stiff, thick and brittle. Merlin was lucky enough to have sleek, silky black fur, but in his own opinion, it did not compare with that of a fox. What pleased him was that no human would ever be able to replicate the beauty of a animal coat. But this also sent saddened thoughts to him. If their coats were not as beautiful, they would not be poached...

Still, coming out of his daydream, he aimed to be pleasant to his new found aqquaitences. Or friends, as he meaned to make them. He did so love new friends. Hi, Acacia! Isn't that a type of tree? Merlin asked. You weren't intruding! I'm glad you came along. his words and smile was very friendly indeed. Although, I'm not sure coming back to life makes us all that interesting. he explained. He thought that might insult Lz a bit, but hopefully the gentle giant would see that Merlin thought he was interesting anyway, even without blessings or his hugeness. Merlin seemed to find everyone and everything interesting, but that was beside the point.

To hear that Lone Zelda came from somewhere that magic did not exist made Merlin upset. What? he asked, gobsmacked. I bet it was horrible there! What happened when people died?! Oh dear! Couldn't they come back to life? he was rather unhappy indeed, knowing that if he'd been born there, luck would not have been so nice to him. He'd never had been alive. He might never had even been a spirit! That would just be simply awful...
Ignitus also looked a little surprised. A land without blessings, without dragons...he sighed at this. That would be very sad, to live in a place like that. It did not occur to him that it might not be as bad as it actually seemed.
