”Remember Me As The Voice Of Reason When You Have None.”
A shadow fell over Cloud's once cheerful features. Her heart broke in pieces at the sound of Kyuui's voice and her explanation. "It is better to be the one of the heart than one of the flesh." She smiled weakly. "Because there, you know, you see, you feel and hear everything of your love and gently taste heaven." The Saddlebred whispered, looking quite forlorn now. Tears stung her eyes, and even if the mare cried, it would be hidden by the downpour. The mud at the moment, caked her feet tremedously deep inside the earth, but she didn't care. Her long and strong limbs would carry her out without any problem of course. So why should she care? A little bit of dirt on one's coat never mattered, nor hurt.

Cloud's mind wandered for a moment, just a brief moment to the past. Her lovely Nyx, the strong, the brave blue roan stallion whom she knew forever had gone. Well, she was the one who left him, really...Fed up, with everything...The pain of losing her first foal to disease and the fact nothing seemed to go right for her. That was long ago. When the springs of life began to bloom into a wonderful flower that Cloud could never get enough of. It was the lonely road of the faithful that made her go on in their memory. The brief memory of happiness she could remember.

Then a stallion came up, his cheerful voice made quite a rude racket in her head. Her ears flattened against her skull, but her pace beside Kyuui never faltered. If he decided, even with good intent to come close to her new friend...Well, this Cloud could turn against him in no time. Her once shining brown coat was now a dull dark chocolate, her once bright golden mane and tail was now plastered with mud and rain. But, her eyes...They never stopped their bright sparkling, their fire that they contained.

"Lead us, if you will...Kyuui-san. You are very wise. I will be here if you need me. Just call out and I'm there, friend." Cloud told the mare before turning to the stallion. "Although, Kyuui-san.." She cautioned. "This stallion does not really seem like a Beta. I think this land has changed hands again."
