During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The ebony and ivory huntress had arrived late on the scene. Scents in the air told her enough though. A small female cub was in the packlands, one who was definitely not welcomed. Her appearance had probably gone unnoticed by Serris and the small one at first. In silence she laid her feminine form gracefully to the ground, where some large roots resided among vegetation life. Even laying down she was probably at about a regular wolfs’ standing position. Which made it all the more easier for her to gaze down upon the duo as the King marched to where the little pup was hidden from view. In seconds the loner pups’ small form was flying through the air as the males’ words followed. She almost couldn’t resist calling down language in a sarcastic tone, because she did find this a little amusing.

After all, how often was it that one found their ruler pissed off like this? The omega did wonder why the muscular titan didn’t just kill the fragile form or send her packing? Devil didn’t think she would be any good talking to. The small lass got right back up as if being thrown around didn’t hurt her feelings one bit. She even asked Serris to do it again. Smirking, she wondered how the big scary, alpha would respond. Serris could be seen marching over and the pup didn’t even back up to tremble with fear. His angry tones were completely ignored as the pup continued to talk in exciting tones. At least a title was given then, Kobato was the strangers’ name. Serris finally showed some emotion by growling. The different colored pup had better start running while she still could. Her reason for not being killed was she wouldn’t be able to heal hearts. Devil shook her head as she smiled at the young ones bubbly behavior. Especially when she asked if Serris was happy, and the icing was asking the definition of whore. The first reply was to her reason for staying alive and Serris was quick to point out that this place was only for rejects. It was obvious Serris was irritated with the small huntress to be. That is if she survived this experience.

It was more amusing to hear his reply about what a whore was. Yeah she sure does make everyone happy. To suggest that the little one would be one for the pack though? Kobatos’ response was simply to ask who their was before brightly replying that she couldn’t be someone she isn’t. More like something. This time she couldn’t help but giggle, a soft and feminine sound, that she cut very short to try and stay unnoticed. So she could still watch the show unfold. Maybe they would mistake it for a bird? Well the naïve one might. Now where was a snack for her movie?

Even from here she could hear Kobatos’ stomach growl. What surprised the hell out of her was that she took refuge under Serris. Now why would she do a foolish thing like that? The lass screeched words were easy to hear from her perch as she questioned about the monster inside of her. Kobato even told herself, well her tummy as she called it, that everything will be alright before asking Serris if it would. Poor girl had no clue what kind of monsters resided here, and that she had the king of them right above her. Although it had almost became literal when she saw the demon stumble and his shocked mask. The alpha didn’t know what to do? That was a first. Serris ignored the pups’ looking for reassurance and moved past her. It was easier to see his frame now as he came closer to her spot. In a moment he was frozen in spot and tensed in a hunting posture as he prepared himself to lash out. It seemed to freak out the little one a bit as she darted around. The King came back into view with a ferret causing Kobato to knock herself flat on her back by running into him. He marched over to the happy, energetic pup just a little too enthusiastic to her. It was obvious he did it on purpose to try and terrify her, most likely, by spraying blood and killing the prey. The cub only giggled, making it more funny to see Serris plan hadn’t worked, whatever he was planning to do by scaring the pup.

She rose up just as he told her to eat up. Serris probably knew she was there by now, but she didn’t care. Devil froze in her tracks when the pup asked if she could really eat the offered prey. He had told her to eat up. Something about this young vixen seemed off. Before she digs in, the small one said her tummy could be happy now and it caused her to shake her head in amusement. Serris was going to have his paws full if he really did plan on keeping this thing around. Her pricked auds almost missed the words of thanks given to Serris. Devils’ mind drifted away as she continued to eat until she saw her pick up a piece of the meat and head over to Serris. The little one fell forward over herself again before she made it over to the royal highness. Then…she actually offered her food to Serris. Interesting…it actually made her maw stretch a little into a small smile.

Turning around she left the tree roots she had just recently been standing upon. The pup had been playing when she left, with the Kings’ plume no less. By the time she circled around and was on their level, away from the high expanded trees she was barely awake as she gently pawed her new toy. Graceful paw steps were taken as she approached, knowing her almost non-hearable approach would not wake the young one. It seems you have acquired a playmate. For the pack or yourself? Was their a hidden question in their? Maybe, but one that she thought she had concealed with her emotionless voice and mask.
