It was hot.

In the Hills it was warm, but here it was hot. And sandy. The chestnut mare lopes through the sand, giggling. She was watching over Eliska... sort of. Acorn glanced back, making sure the black filly was alright. Her scruffy mare didn't blow in the wind like Acorn's, but her sabino markings made up for it. Grinning, Acorn plunged ahead. Finally she slowed down, guessing that Eliska would be tired. The chestnut mare stopped and turned towards the filly, still grinning. "I have no clue where we are. Let's go explore!" She set out at a gentle walk, peering about. It was very interesting here, and very different from the Hills. The sun beat down and them, not helping as Acorn tried to cool down from her run. She frowned and squinted up at the blue sky, whch only held the sun. No clouds were about.

Grumbling to herself, the chestnut mare lowered her head and peered at the sand again. When the wind blew, the sand shifted and some of it went flying. Acorn chased after some, but lost the grains when they fell back to the ground. She returned to Eliska, twisting her frown back into a grin. She was going to have fun. So, holding her head high, Acorn led the way farther into the new land.
