At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

All that could be seen was a wolf on a hill, one looked down on by the Mountain. It was no surprise that the boy was alone, not to himself anyways. Yes, he has a family though where they have gone, he has no clue. He loves them, of course, as he has to, but he does not, in any way shape or form, like them. Perhaps this is because if he doesn't like them, he can’t be let down by them? One can only guess at his reasoning. Still, alone he sits as always he does. He is noticeably skinny, as he fends for himself. He hasn’t seen his mother, father, or sisters in a long time. He was never the favorite of his family or anyone else and maybe that’s the reason for his solitude. To him, being alone is better than being with those who love him, yet being alone is something he doesn't enjoy. Out here, all by himself, he has only the wind as his friend and the birds to talk to him. Birds are an animal he has never been willing to kill. He has found them injured and defenseless before yet his heart will never let him end them. This behavior is quite curious, if you ask me. At the same time, I think this shows that he is not as cold and heartless as he makes himself out to be. Right now, as he looks upon his world, those stormy blue gazers of his are simply calm and curious rather than filled with the same hate as when he’s around anyone else. Those baby blues fell on the Mountain and all of its glory right now.

With an unwilling sigh, Talibin brought his skinny self to his feet and shook his grey and brown pelt. He was still so young, barely a teen, that it seemed stupid for him to be on his own. His parents, though, had disappeared and he was bull headed and naïve so there was nothing to stop him from exploring. That was what the lad planned on doing right now, as a matter of fact. Alas, the rumble of his ever hungry stomach earned a groan from him, who wanted to get exploring. Watcha gonna do, though, when your stomach demands food but feed it. He began to move off from his hill and soon enough came to some high grass. He still hadn't gotten the whole hunting thing down yet but he was getting there. It took him a while to pick up the scent of some rabbits. The corner of his mouth turned up in personal triumph. The adolescent stalked as quietly as he possibly could through the tall grass. A sick, elder rabbit came into his vision and his radars pricked. He stalked up close to the poor old thing. He was just about to pounce when he tripped over his own clunky paws. Instantly he froze and winced at his own carelessness. He looked up expecting to not see the bunny. He was quite surprised to not only see it, but to see it in the jaws of an older male the color of snow. Curious as always, Talibin decided to follow the ivory stag.

The walk was silent and peaceful so the wolfling was careful to keep quiet. The journey was calming and soon Talibin found himself daydreaming about nonsense and even smiling. With his pricked towers, the sound of Staircase Falls slowly dripped into his wandering mind. Finally he realized that it really was the Falls he was hearing and focused his vision. Luckily he had managed to follow the ice dragon this whole time and he had led the teen to the Falls. Talibin watched from behind the brush the varg had just pushed through. His blue crystals stayed transfixed on the snow clad wolf as he lay down in the shade right at the water’s edge and ate his kill. Much to his dismay, the boy’s stomach gave a loud growl at the sight of fresh game. As the older brujo went back to his spot after hiding his prize, the young wolf stepped out from his hiding place. ”You stole my rabbit.” He hadn’t known what to say and so this just slipped out. His too big head was cocked to the side and his body and ears were held high. His brow furrowed a tad but other than that, he seemed only to be curious. He did nothing but stand there and watch the hessian, waiting for an answer yet not really expecting one. This all made him appear rather stupid and young, which, in retrospect, he was.
