Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

The sun-baked earth is warm even now, just before dawn, beneath the pads of my feet as I leap from ledge to ledge, slowly but surely weaving my way down the cliff. My scrawny frame may not be a great asset where feats of strength are required, but I'm surely built for agile tricks like this. Tiny fragments of rock go skittering away as I land lightly atop a broad plateau. Sides heaving, my breath coming slow and deep, I shake myself vigorously to rid my steely coat of the dust that had settled there during my climb. Out over the forest below, the horizon is just starting to brighten with the first hints of the rising sun. A slow smile leaks over my features as the brightening light is reflected in my amber eyes.

I've always felt strange at this time of day. Before the world is rightly awake, I feel almost at peace. The frantic, restless energy that usually spurs me forward is quieted as the sun sinks out of sight at dusk and doesn't return until the sky is bright once again. The night is my reprieve, the only time when I can let my breath out and my guard down. I sink down to rest on my haunches and watch the shades of pink climb slowly into the sky. Soon the rest of the forest will begin to stir and I'll have to go back to my usual miscreant self, but for now, I can afford to just relax.

A thud from somewhere below me breaks into my quiet reverie, quickly followed by a gruff "What the...?". Curious, but not quite ready to be seen, I lean forward onto my stomach and crawl cautiously to the cliff's edge. Peering down, just my snout and eyes poking out over the edge, I can just make out a fae in the dusky shadows below. She seems to have literally stumbled across and abandoned den of some sort. I'm helpless to stop a snort of laughter erupting from my mouth. Realizing my mistake, still unwilling to be discovered, I immediately backpedal away from the edge, sending a shower of pebbles down in my haste.
