Talon knew Vex had high expectations of him. She had them from the beginning, once saying they could take Meteor pack from Wyro. That wasn't how he wanted things to go though. He respected and obeyed his Alpha and would never try to overthrow him. He wouldn't make for a good Alpha anyways. But Vex could fantasize to her hearts content, and maybe when the time was right they would rule in power together. But for the moment, he didn't see such a future. 

Talon stood, accepting her challenge, a sly grin on his face. He leapt off of the rock and next thing he knew he was in the water, watching her run down the hill. After a few strides, he had teleported straight into the water. He chuckled and splashed water onto her pelt. He thought about his little dragon sitting at home and now regretted bringing her. She had never been in the water before yet she was mostly an aqua dragon. She would have loved this. Noticing the sudden silence, Talon swirled around to look at Vex. He followed her line of vision and realized why it was so quiet. Well this just wouldn't do. Talon splashed through the water, making a show of the strokes as he swam to the other side. The buck's head darted up, his eyes locking on Talon's. He bared his teeth, huffed and watched as the buck ran. 

A vine of poison barb curled around Talon's paw as he ran after the buck, paws beating the ground. He pushed himself faster, weaving through the trees and bushes. Finally once he got close enough, he leapt and teleported right onto the back of the buck. He dug the poison barb into it's neck along with his dull nails and swung his body to the side, pulling it to the ground. With a sigh, he ripped the throat out of the buck to end it's misery. If it wasn't dead yet, it would be soon. Sitting beside the bloody carcass, Talon waited patiently for Vex to follow and join him for the meal.
