The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

OOC NOTES: yo tori, I used to play Ateri and LSVK I love your Kershov :]

With a crunch, the small creature perished in the jaws of the tawny valkyrie, swinging it from her delicate maw proudly like a prize. Placing it down by her feet, she skillfully tore a gaping wound into the freshly killed rodent's belly, nose twitching in almost ectasy from the fresh, warm blood scent. It was a good morning meal, enough to satify her flat stomach until much later. And until all that remained was the fleshy furry skin and the bones, Elody continued on her trekk. Her footfalls were dainty, delicate-like, contrasting with her ways. Her tongue graced her slender maw, wiping whatever bloody residue had been left.

Elody could admit her disinterest with the ways of others, and to admit just the slightest bit annoyed with the abound amount of lovey-dovey idiots back at the river. Obviously they had not heard the call to serve, or listen to the fight inside them. But of course, once and idiot always one. And idiots might not make as useful of soldiers, perhaps more expendable--But never fighters. Her hips swung indifferently as she walked, her tail high. Nothing could smash her tolerance today. Perhaps not bursting with happiness or enjoyment, at least no one's throat would be the next thing on the ground other than the musty stench of blood all around. This place calmed her, shorted her nerves some.

The scents grew stronger, more insatiable and dangerous, as well as more dominated. It had to be a territory, which the russet-furred girl noted with pleasure. This was no weak, happy pack. This meant business, business Ellie wouldn't mind getting her nose into. Stepping back some, as if not the grace the borders until proven a suborinate of this place, a long calling howl was sent into the heavens, summoning anyone who had to listen, a sentry, a warrior, or even perhaps the holy Alpha of the place. Her heart pounded, and she knew she was home.
