Rules � The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders. � Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission. � All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say. � Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met. � You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Carly stopped when she heard the call of another mare. She knew that they had to be around here - after all who heard of a mare-only herd without any mares? But she hadn't seen one since she began her ascent much earlier in the day. She was glad it was winter otherwise she might have been forced to stop several times. She looked over her shoulder to see another on the ascent.

Carly was used to flat plains and deserts. Even with her mustang heritage, she was not so sure about her footing. She did intend to turn and meet the other half way, but she slipped a bit. Well more than a bit. She slipped enough that she decided not to try to move on the path.

She turned her head and let out a welcoming call to the other mare. Her voice sounded a little stressed as she had just seen her life flash before her eyes. She took a few steps forward to a slightly larger section of ground. One that was a bit firmer. She then turned around so that she could greet the other mare when she arrived.
