If Tommorrow Never Comes

Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

My ears perked from Jingle's voice. I nodded in reply, knowing it was serious. I smiled and looked at them, before taking a breath. This song was going to be dedicated to Jingle, but I didn't say so.

"Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart"

I take a quick breath before continuting, and give a quick smile to Jingle.

"If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face this world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes"

One quick breath again, and the next verse definetly described what I went through throughout my life.

"'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel"

"If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face this world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes."

And to bring it to an end, I smile and sing the remaining lines.

"So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes."

I smile in pride and get up, walking to the corner of the cave. When Jingle comes over, I say, "Yes Jingle?" Not annoyed.
