The male curled up and sat down in the cavern, his eyes bored. Corae, a lass who he had just left, was fascinating, yet did not understand him. She didn't understand his need for blood, his need for his own kind. Of course, he would eat prey like any other normal wolf would, but he would also eat wolves. Females, in particular. They were so easy to trick, the faes themselves and their ravenous need for a...a mate. The word absolutely disgusted him, but he knew why the females craved one. They wanted frolicking pups to raise, and they wanted their ending to go along the lines of: 'Happily Ever After.' But, he would not provide those. He would merely provide a quick death, and to himself, a snack. Because, even though Charcoal was extremely clever, sometimes his hunger got to him and made him a beast. A monster.
