During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

we are the inseparable world, the earth and the sky
we are the seas and the shores, you and I
(( wow, the boys are popular xD I'm terrible at group threads but hopefully it's okay :) ))

Set was surprised at the bravery of the youngster, confronted with two adult males she showed no fear or wary trepidation. She took steps forward rather than back, her tail searing the air like it was going out of fashion. And though he could not see the bright smiles that kept gracing her features, Rise could sense her vigour and her joy. Parents? Kobato has no parents. But that’s okay, you see- Serris looks after Kobato. The ivory boy tilted his head in curiousity, wondering at the odd way of speaking Kobato had. She seemed to refer to herself in the third person, though he reasoned, perhaps it was connected to the trauma of losing her parents? Or some such thing. The boys loved their parents dearly and couldn't imagine losing them, certainly not at such a young age. Well, at least she had this 'Serris' fellow to care for her.

Kobato leaned in closer, almost consiprationally, like she had some big, important secret to share. He ACTS like a meanie. But really, he’s a good guy. He won’t admit it- but he likes Kobato. Shhh. He’ll get mad if he hears us say that. She started giggling once more, and again the boys were struck by her unusual way with words, even using us rather than me. But hey, each to their own. They wondered a bit more about Serris as well, what he was like. The girl was painting a picture of a rather grumpy, bad tempered brute, though the young often had a different way of seeing things. If he was happy enough to keep such a young, energetic creature around, then he couldn't be that bad.

That’s right! Kobato’s the cutest Kobato in the whole wide world! Rise grinned at her little exclamation, but that grin was soon replaced by a tense, wariness which his brother soon picked up on. His sensitive nose had smelt a mixture of blood and wolf, very, very close. There was the faintest of rustles close to the little group as well, they were being watched. Though it didn't take long for the watcher to show herself, ignoring them for a moment as she spoke to the youngster. "Kobato, where's Serris? I thought you'd be with him right now." Set watched the new female with a barely disguised snarl on his features. There was something about her that irked him, perhaps just the blood she had neglected to wash from her chest. Rise was more forgiving though, a small smile on his face as he listened to the little one introduce them and then ramble off about tag and trees.

Once Kobato was finished, the blood stained girl introduced herself as Roni, an Omega. "You've found your ways to the border of Munashii Gekko. Set & Rise, I am Roni an Omega of this pack. I see you've met Kobato, princess of the pack. Our alpha will accept you into the pack. Until then your stuck talking to me and Kobato. What brings you two here?" Set was quiet, his face still creased in a silent and wary snarl, one of trepidation perhaps. Nothing could keep Rise quiet though, his gentle voice ringing out in reply. "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you, Roni. As to our doings here, we are merely looking for a home. Sweet Kobato here has already told us a little about 'Serryberry', though I've no doubt calling him that will be a little detrimental to our cause." He chuckled, hoping to soothe his brother's tension and calm the atmosphere that was building around him. When the dark boy got a notion of dislike in his mind, it was often like talking to a brick wall. He was a stubborn child at times.

Rise was about to speak a little more, when he caught the sound of a much larger wolf tearing through the trees. It closed the gap in mere moments and let forth a deep, rumbling growl, causing the brothers to jump backwards in surprise and wariness. Set could see the big male as he charged across the terra, grabbing the girl and sliding to a halt. His hackles raised automatically, his whole body tense as he stared at the dark wolf. He was ready to attack the stranger, fearing that he was about to hurt or steal Kobato, but luckily the male introduced himself as Serris, the one they were waiting for. Set relaxed a little, shifting his position slightly from where he was standing, shielding his brother as he had always done.

And, as quick as he had come, the alpha left with the lass, leaving the boys alone with Roni. Set stood silent, watching the gap in the trees where the pair had disappeared to, while his brother scented the air in slight confusion. "Brother.... what just happened? Is everything alright?" Set absent-mindedly nodded, before remembering himself and replying. "Err. I believe our little princess may have upset her king.... Do not fear though, I think she is safe with him. We have been left with little miss 'I need a bath' here, I guess till he returns from his admonishing?" Rise let a look of relief cross his face, before giving his brother a nudge, a 'be nicer, you grumpy old man' kind of nudge.
