aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

It is another lonely night. Cody paces around, uneasily, waiting for something he is unsure of. He's different. Different then before. Deep down, he knows it; and it's for the better. His eyes watch the dancing lights. They would never stop amusing him. These lands, they were special, and he was now attached to them by a strong bond. Loyalty. Something that he had always had; parting from his past pack was hard for him, and he wasn't planning on parting with these lands. An omega, yes, he was an omega, but he couldn't care less. Being part of a pack, working with others, being part of a family was what he was raised to do. Being in Blossom for his teenage years, he had changed. Not in a bad way... he had simply matured. He had turned to be mentally stronger and smarter. But there were others things that now, as a young adult fresh out of teenage years, had changed in him. He didn't know, at least not yet, but there would be inevitable circumstances where he would show this. Like the one coming up now.

The wind blows an unknown scent, waiting at the border, to him. Nostrils flare, as he catches the direction, and turns his body to quickly move towards the direction. His stance is tall and proud. He would no longer slump the way he had all those years. That time was over. His azure gaze catches ahold of a black wolf in the distance. The night could easily swallow the wolf, if it weren't for the lights in the sky. He sits there, as if he could lounge there all he wants. Cody's body tenses, and a growl begins to rumble deep in his throat. He moves fast; running, smacking the floor with his paws, and he halts with a few yards between the two. Cody's stance is strong, his nose wrinkled. This could easily be a wolf trying to walk on this land as if it were his own. If this is a newcomer, well, he's got a bad start. Respect needs to be shown when one tries to join, and this wolf was not showing any whatsoever.

"What are you doing here." He says, demanding an answer from the wolf. His eyes are cold, his nose wrinkled, and his body ready, just in case this wolf meant funny business. He wasn't placed in attack mode; he was just alert. The contrast between the two wolves is heavy; the only part of Cody that matches is his left leg. His nails lightly dig at the dirt, his ears open, ready for the answer. This was not at all the old, sweet, shy, quiet Cody. He had a greater meaning now. He always did. He was simply too young to realize it. Things take time, the time will come for everything, his young friend always told him. He thought this was only for things he was impatient for; hunts, festivities, fun things that as a pup you grow impatient for. Now he understood what he meant when he told cody that.
