The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Perhaps angry words had been the right choice since they seemed to get a nearly instantaneous response. It was kind of dramatic how many wolves had come from the depths of Andere Seite or had dashed across the border to come and gawk while gunning for acceptance. Boredom hadn't even considered settling in on the crimson marked alphess' facade before the parade started with Eric, a bit of a refreshing face after having been gone for so long. She had, after all, brought him home, refused to let him in, and then disappeared to leave him lingering around the pack's border. If Cade were a better person, she might have apologized to him for doing such a horrible thing, but alas, he'd have to settle for a snarky remark in reply to his somewhat cheesy entrance line. A bit of a smile broke out on her face as she let out a velvety voice that she'd been saving just for Eric.

"To be honest, we skipped the meeting part and jumped straight to the biting."

She finished with a bit of a click to her teeth as she pretended to nip at the air, offering a broader, more cynical smile to the vampire. Any follow up conversation was cut short by the next appearance as the spotlight of Cade's mind zoomed out and refocused on Silent Russia. The emotions that followed were a bit mixed. Silent Russia was, by birth, not related to Cade in any way though no one had ever informed Cade that the blood relation was non-existent. In terms of age, Russia was slightly younger than Cade but within the Satanican family, Russia and her sister Rai were technically her aunts. In total, Cade thought of them like sisters because of their relatively close ages. She had spent some time getting into trouble with Russia on the few occasions she wasn't causing disasters with her brother when they were much younger. It felt odd to see her after having been gone. So much had changed about the both of them, physically for sure, and quite possibly mentally too. Whatever thoughts Cade was considering were thrown out the window as Russia addressed her, completely ignoring Eric's existence after dismissing him with a look. The words actually kind of stung though the ess doubted Russia could know such a thing. They really served to further drive in that feeling of being in the wrong place but Cade shoved the emotions away and merely proffered a genuine smile to the other crimson clad lady along with a few words of response.

"Thank you, I see you've kept this place lively."

Okay, so perhaps a little sharp on the commenting because Andere hadn't been lively as of late, but all in all, it could be taken kindly too because Cade really was glad to see her family coming around. The faintness of the scents at the border had really worried her. Hopefully more of her family would show up because Tor knows she needed the company and while she wouldn't admit it, life was more fun with them around.

And speaking of fun, the next admittance into the circle was a pup who asked what was probably the most foolish question she'd heard asked in a very long time. If she or Quirino had ever asked such a meaningless question as a pup, they probably would have been beaten until they apologized for it and then beaten again for apologizing. Such were the ways of Satanican training and life. Lucky for this pup, he was not a Satanican and Cade was willing to overlook his foolishness for the sake of entertaining the idea of having a new, young mind to warp. Smiling in what was probably a creepy, menacing way as she bent down to bore her gaze into his skull, her voice came out soft and even what could be considered inviting. At least inviting in the same way an adult tempts a kid with candy so they can convince the kid to get in their van.

"Of course this is Andere Seite. Take a seat and learn to fit in little man. I'm sure you have a...pliable mind."

As it happened, having crouched down to speak to the little guy had saved Cade the trouble of having to duck when Quirino strolled up, keeping eye contact with her before he decided to play king of the rock. It was a bit of a favorite past time between the siblings but Cade knew that today, it wasn't a game. Today it was an all out rejection of her authority and an attempt to embarrass her before the gathering wolves. She had known it was coming and made like she was going to stand up to greet her brother but only rose half way, allowing her to drop back down on his first attempt. The feeling of his own weight and applied force throwing him over her and right off the rock made that childish part of her jump for joy but the triumph didn't last long as Quirino continued his attempts. If there was one thing she knew, it was that Qui didn't ever quit, he won. So the only solution was to let him win and cut the fun out of it. After all, if he wanted to bicker, there was no reason to do it in front of everyone. It was sibling business after all. Leaping off the rock, she glanced at Qui who was most likely perching on top of the rock. Flicking her tail at him in annoyance, she decided that words weren't worth it right now lest she end up in an all out screaming fit with him. They were both stubborn and she didn't need to stoup to his level right now. In fact, Liquid's arrival solidified her decision to ignore her brother's antics for the time being. It couldn't be said that she hadn't matured in some ways.

Her uncle seemed intent on remaining quiet which didn't surprise Cade in even the least bit. He had, after all, abandoned them in the same way Cade had, though for different reasons. She had forgiven him long ago for his various quirks and past troubles and merely gave him a nod and watched with her mismatched gaze as he moved off to take a seat by Russia. The intent stare on his face is more telling to his niece than he probably knows but Cade doesn't spend any time analyzing it and leaves Liquid to his own devices as a seemingly charming new figure finds his way to Cade's presence. He has no problems targeting her from among the crowd despite her brother's insistence that she not sit on what was once their mother's rock. Piercing blue eyes and a gentlemanly approach make Cade a little curious. Andere was not exactly known for manners or kindness but Damon's gentle outward appearance seems too good to be true so perhaps he is a bit darker beneath the surface. Regardless, she hears him out, replying with an even tone.

"Refuge is only given to those of service. I imagine you are worth my time if you are daring to ask for it. We shall see just how fitting your family can be, shall we?"

There may have been more to that line of thought but whatever it was got lost in the chaos of Rai tackling Russia. Apparently Cade wasn't worth Rai's time since she had tuned out everything but her sister. The lass didn't hold it against the crimson coated sisters though. She had lived with them long enough to know that sometimes when they were together, they were in their own little world. Since whatever she was going to say to Damon ended up lost, she offered him a speculative look before moving on to an adolescent who came strolling in.

She wreaked of Damon from the get-go so Cade assumed she was related to the charming male. It would stand to reason that relations would imply some kind of similarity in personality but where Damon was polite, this female was young, proud, and dumb enough to make a smart remark. While Cade hadn't spent a whole lot of time with Eric, she did recall a few of the things he had mentioned about his vampirism. The lady was admittedly a little paranoid, buried somewhere deep down. Not necessarily afraid of Eric because if Cade thought about it, she really couldn't do anything if Eric decided to turn on her, but there was that vague idea that Eric couldn't be the only vampire in the world. The words that slipped out of the teen's pretty little mouth triggered something within Cade's thought process and without a word of warning, she was on top of Sakari, teeth bared as words came out on the breath of a growl.

"Was that a threat I just heard slither out of your mouth? I don't take too kindly to stupidity."

Whatever had been said by the young male who had come sauntering in after her hadn't registered in Cade's mind. She was too busy hoping she hadn't heard right and wondering just what she would do if she had. It had occurred to her that vampires would make for a strong group to have around, but if they were this poorly behaved, she may just have to kick all of their asses first before they were worth anything to her. Just what exactly were Damon's polite words not telling her about his siblings?
