Karma’s ears perked as Jack Frost began to speak. Again, she was drawn into the melody his voice sung. This time his tone was serious and she refused to allow herself to be drawn into merely listening to his mysterious tone; she had to pay attention. Rarely did she take orders from others, but this was more like a team effort than any pack could offer. They were relying on each other, whilst at the same time ready to abandon one another just as easily should the mission go wrong. That was the alluring female’s kind of team work and she felt as though she had to have been touched by luck to find others like her. Should it work, this mission may just bring them closer together; being able to find out their stories was her next goal. They interested her like no others had before.
The teen shifted as she listened to Jack Frost’s instructions, muscles going taut, slacking, then tensing again. She was impatient to get going. Anyway, when you see someone Carmen, make any sound and we’ll get the fuck out of there. The wolf of fire, whether by her own will or listening to the male’s instructions, had already begun to move to the pack’s boundary. Karma tilted her head in confusion as the other femme’s silky tone called strange words to them. Vamos! No Tenemos todo el día. Shining grey eyes with glints of golden yellow switched back to the male, hoping he would interpret what had been spoken.
Let’s go! Karma nodded to herself as Jack Frost’s actions, dashing off with snow flying out behind him, told her more than his words ever could have. They were in a hurry and her companions had taken a head start. Heart leaping, Karma bounded off after them. She made her way easily to the clearing, keeping alert for any signs of the pack. The falling snow disguised her with the landscape, a white dot moving across a white background. The cool air hurried her on and for a moment she took joy in simply running, light on her paws.
When she arrived in the clearing Carmen wasn’t in sight, but nonetheless she bounded to Jack Frost’s side by the mangled carcass. The stomach had been opened, a putrid smell of partial rotting coming from the half eaten areas. Still, it should be sound to eat. Ears perked, Karma listened for any sign they’d been spotted. Nothing. Breathing a quiet sigh of relief, the white femme leant over to tear at the meat in the top shoulder of the remains. Her nose was filled with the smell of meat, making her both hungry and impatient as she tore at the body with sharp fangs to try and nag the flesh from the bone.
Ears swivelled as paws approached, causing her to pause and look up with a jolt. It was just Carmen. Quickly, Karma returned to the prize. She heard snippets of Carmen speaking, but rather than paying attention to that focused her efforts on removing the stubborn hunk of prey. As she heard a loud tearing of flesh, she herself managed to rip a decent sized piece from the carcass. Grinning through the mouthful of flesh, she sent a glare at the carcass. This time she had beaten it and whether it could see her or not she would make it know that no dead piece of rotting prey could best her. De nada. Glaring at the carcass done, Karma looked up as she heard those mysterious words. No idea what they meant, she once again looked to Jack Frost. They had torn a fair amount off; a leg, part of the shoulder and a lung. Would that be enough for him and did they even have time to think about it rather than leaving before the Abendrot pack showed up? She waited for his decision on the matter.
