Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

It seemed like time had stopped around the ess. It was like she was the only one in the world that existed; that everyone else had disappeared. The silence was nice but it was awful lonely and seen as the ess had composed her thoughts and was feeling a little better it was boring too.

Cai lifted herself off the ground with little effort and shifted her weight onto her haunches. The bitter cold ruffling her thick winter coat. Although the full effect of the cold couldn’t penetrate the thick fur, it still chilled the lass. The ivory ess liked winter just as much as she liked summer. Both seasons had their advantages. Summer was a brilliant time to raise young ones and teach them the ropes; Winter, although little food, was good for the ess as her white coat blended with the snowy background and provided excellent camouflage. She was looking forward to the days when a thick blanket of snow could be found on the ground. That was when she became near enough invisible.

As the wolf sat on her haunches she peered around the field, when her eyes locked onto a trio of teenagers edging their way towards her. They were about the same age as Tally and Dib and seemed remarkably similar. The lass shifted her weight and stood. She twisted herself to face the wolves as they came ever closer. Something in the lass’ gut was screaming out to go towards them, but for the life of her she couldn’t think why. As the wind blew past her, her sensitive nares picked up each scent. Intertwined with the scent of the two femmes and one male was the unmistakable scent of RedRust and the lass’ eyes widened. The closer they got the more she could see. There colouring immediately gave them away and the femme’s heart jumped out of her chest. They were here...

The adult femme raced towards the teens her paws barely touching the ground. Her babies were home, they had found her. She was approaching the wolves at an unbelievable pace but stopped about a wolf length away from them. She couldn’t quite believe her eyes. There stood in front of her were her babies. Atachi, Chidori and Icicle. It really was them. The femme was lost for words as she stared at her young. “My darlings. Is it really you?” A whimper escaped her maw as she dived forward and nuzzled each one of her children tenderly, emotion rushing through her body. If she were human she would have been blubbering like a baby. Cai planted kisses on each of their muzzles whilst a constant whimpering was protruding from her jaws. “I’ve missed you all so much!”
